As long as they look better than those lacrosse shirts...

On another note, all the Chelsea and scallies are going to look sooooo last season.... ::)

Wonder how the players will feel about this. A lot of them will have adjusted to wearing TechFit shirts, whereas New Balance stuff is often completely different in style, material, etc.

Completely devastated I would assume.

are they not that big over there then? can only see this as them using lfc to get more general exposure with their skateboarder type stuff into the uk and beyond

I'd guess the profile in Asia is what they like too.

Great news and all about FFP. Don't understand the love in with Adidas or the fear over Warrior designing the new shirt. It's designing a football shirt, not splitting the atom.

This new deal and the Standard Chartered deal plus the removal of the club's debt have us in a really strong position for the upcoming FFP rules. I say well done, Ayre and FSG.

Not sure what Adidas have done to get such a love-in.

Fancy adverts that include famous footballers like Beckham.

Sorry to say but some only believe we should sign players that have been on a Nike or Adidas ad hence the Adidas loving.

Technically it would make sense - it would save them on R+D expenses ;) (not that they don't get relief on these anyways). Plus some of the designs I have seen look pretty damn awesome.

These sort of big money branding deals are what should have been done in LFC name years ago and will hopefully will help the club generate more income from the Asia and USA markets. :)

Interesting to hear that they work with the Red Soxs, someone somewhere along the line must have a good relationship with them when doing business in the past which may have helped with this deal.

Well, I think it's a bit incorrect to that we've signed a deal with Warrior...we've signed a deal with New Balance, and their subsidiary Warrior will be the ones making the shirts.

I, for one, having grown up wearing various generations of American sports jerseys - my high school (American) football jersey was a garish example - am quite worried that this company is going to turn out something stupidly modern and plug-ugly. Just keep it simple please!

Brilliant deal by Ayre if true. And, frankly, a wise move by New Balance, even if it seems ridiculously expensive at the moment. Their gear will now suddenly be worn by people in every country on the planet.

Nobody got a Times subscription no?
Yes I subscribe to The Times. I am assuming that it is in today's paper which isnt released for 3 hours.

What people should realize about a deal like this is that it sets LFC way above most other teams. Spurs commercial revenues last year were 23m. The naming rights and the clothing rights alone for LFC are worth more than the entire gate receipts.

Pocket the cash - put a fiver on us to win the league with our new big money signings.

If you dont like their kits invest in a retro adidas one.

simples :)

I don't know and couldn't reasonably guess how much we get now, and how much is pumped into the squad and acadamy, but if its true that we've doubled our income, then I'm well chuffed. Yeah adidas is lush but our shirts could still be lush, just with the word warrior instead of the adidas logo.
