b) that new shirt is pretty hideous.
Said the same yesterday.

Looks like a knock off.

Really liked the look of him.

In terms of athleticism he reminds me a bit of Glen Johnson. He looks pretty rapid for a guy of that size, clearly very strong, committed, and happy to be the quarter back controlling the pace, but also always seems to be happy to pass then move into space...normally forward. Like what I see, albeit for just 20 minutes.
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

He locked really good when he was on the pitch very composed and good in possesion, hopefully we see him during the usa tour.

Totally agree on the shirt,it's awful.

He looks bigger than Glen to me. Speaking of which, Glen's really slowed down the past few seasons, was rapid for Portsmouth.

Injuries taking its toll i think.

Can looked good in the 20mins he played. Buzzing around midfield always wanting the ball at his feet as well which is a good sign.

Did he misplace a pass in the 20 minutes he was on? I don't remember him doing so.

Looked very good in such a short period of time. Any updates on his injury?

Looked a perfect fit for the Premier League in that brief appearance. Can see why Rodgers went for him out of all the talented young midfielders there are in the German league. Not that I'm saying he's the best, but I hope you see what I mean. Could very well be a bargain.

This is obviously based off basically nothing, other than what I've read and the few bits I've seen, but he gets touted as a DM by some. I don't think that's the case. I think he'll be more of an Allen/Hendo hybrid. Athleticism, sharp passing, bursting runs and a bit of defensive nous. Multi-talented midfielder. Probably to be used in a couple of different roles.

Not sure if its well known but just seen James Pearse say Emre didnt travel to Boston so his injury must be a bit worse then a knock. Hope he can get back for some minutes before the season starts.

He was still on the plane though to go to the US? Maybe he means he'll not be travelling for the first friendly? I'm confused now.

29 appearances, started 24 games, unused sub on 8 occasions. So in a word, sound.

Huh? He definitely got on the plane.

Does he mean hasn't travelled from the hotel? I thought their hotel was in Boston.

James Pearce says he didn't travel and is out for a few weeks. Must of just posed for photos then fucked off home. Very strange.

It's odd. He had a bag on him so it very much looked like he was about to travel.

And I doubt they'd make him pose just for that photo as they'd do the same with Ilori and Tex.

Where in the world is Emre Can? Did he board the plane? :o

I know he's not in Boston. If he is out injured for a couple of weeks it would be completely pointless him travelling. It is a strange one though. Perhaps he felt something again as he boarded the plane and they decided he wouldn't go?

not really been paying attention the last few weeks but a) he's got carragher's old squad number?  and b) that new shirt is pretty hideous.
Got broad shoulders though- a sign of great upper-body strength.

Wouldn't most of the physios travel too? So why leave him here?

Or maybe he went to the airport with them, but then boarded a different plane (to Germany, most likely). Or he's gone to America to meet up with Bayern's team doctor when they fly over next week ;)

Ilori and Tex have stayed behind so obviously an injury would mean not travelling. But then again they weren't there for the photo either.

Just watched his 'every touch' video against the Mancs in the champions league. Very accomplished for such a young lad. Passes the ball with conviction every time and seems to never be afraid to run at teams from deep. Really can't wait to see more of the lad.
