Bloody hell, there's some miserable Scrooge bastards on here.

Could see the problem if it was mid-September but it's November and Xmas is only 7 weeks away.

Exactly Christmas is 7 weeks away.

Doesn't seem like it when the weather is still quite warm, only had the first frost yesterday.

I love Christmas with having 2 under 5's.

Upon entering my local Tesco earlier, my ears were immediately treated to the musical masterpiece that is "Wonderful Christmas Time". I wanted to scream, frankly. We haven't even had bonfire night yet and yet I'm seeing Christmas trees in shop windows and Santa on the telly. Does it genuinely get worse every year or does it just feel like it?
That's nothing. I noticed my local garage had selection boxes as early as September. Then some fucking gobshite had his Christmas decorations up the day after Halloween. I heard the first Christmas advertisement 2 days before Halloween on the radio here. It made me launch myself into hurling a torrent of verbal abuse at the radio. Christmas is 1 day a year, yet somehow the money grabbing scumbags have managed to make it last for 2 months. 2 fucking months! It's the reason why I now prefer Halloween to Christmas, but even that is slowly going down the shitter.

Christmas day is 1 day a year. But I would class it more as a period, like Easter. It doesn't last 2 months either. Would you rather Christmas stuff only went on sale on Christmas eve leaving 60 million Britons running around for 1 day trying to get everything sorted for the 25th? I do agree that its a pile of commercial wank now more than ever, but seeing my kid so excited in the time leading up to it and after it makes it worthwhile for me.

No, but I'd rather people not forget that it's one day of the year. The actual period you talk about is 1 week. Not two months. Or is that Easter?

Went Christmas shopping on my own in the Trafford Centre on Tuesday morning, it was boss, dead quiet.

Had to go to the TC again today with the wife to look at a dress I might of been buying her , all the decorations were up and the singing Christmas tree was going. My 3 yr old loved the lights, wasn't bothered with the tree though.

Really looking forward to Christmas now, although as I now do all the cooking, its a bit mental for me. My eldest is getting loads of lego, so I'll get loads of emotional blackmail cos I'll be too busy to build any with him. Boxing Day is set aside for that.
