Too many knobs in the upper tiers wanting to stand, spoiling it for the numerous kids there with their dads. No consideration for others especially when the view is so good, the stewards couldn't give a toss.
Also had two fellas fall asleep during the game they where that pissed!

Everyone seems to be upset about Wembley, no atmosphere, too many corporates etc but if the two cancers had there way the New Anfield would of felt exactly the same, corporate boxes in the Kop? SMH  :butt :butt :butt

Some Southern whopper was next to me and kept telling me how the last five finals he'd been to four had finished in shootouts. If thats the case then why the fuck didn't he sing at all. Lack of atmosphere down to that and other Liverpool fans telling those stood up singing to sit down. Mint views mind and the bogs were fine, even managed a couple of crafty cigs in them.

To be fair, we stood in 104 and I had my 7 year old son with me. We had blokes in front of us standing, solution was to stand my boy on his seat. Was that not possible where you were so the kids could see? I'm just over 5 foot tall and we both managed fine!

Lacked any character compared to the old Wembley, very Americanised and sanitised. I was in 524 and felt miles from the pitch. Loads of those around looked like they'd never been to a match before as well. Both sets of fans were hit and miss and the announcer made it sound like Old Trafford, constantly telling us where we were and what the score was. We KNOW!!
It did feel like a normal home game at times, the amount of moaning and abuse some of ours were dishing out.

We stand at every single away game so what did you exactly expect? The atmosphere wasnt the best yesterday but when everyone is sitting down its even worse.

I had a few kids infront of me and they just stood on the seats and the problem was solved.

I had some twat behind me slagging off Downing throughout the game and just being a complete arse who clearly did not understand the game. Also a lot of loud crap music over the tannoys which drowned out a lot of our singing prior to the game. I really like the stadium though and hopefully we will visit it a few more times this season.....

Sorry mate, but you shouldn't bring kids along if they're not able to stand. I've been going to the game since I was little and if you'd given me the chance of a cup final ticket back then I'd have bitten your arm off, whether my view was obstructed or not. The thing you'll remember above all is the atmosphere.

Been to Wembley a few times for NFL games, but this was the first (proper) football match I've been to there, and I agree with a fair bit of what's been said.

There's a fair gap between the stands and the pitch. Not massive, but definitely noticeable. The view is great, but the acoustics suck. Seemed impossible to get any songs going for long because the blocks couldn't seem to hear and/or stay in sync with each other.

The crowd itself didn't seem too bad where I was, down the front of 118 in the corner. People seemed to try to join in and be up for making some noise. Everyone also stayed standing (I'm not that bothered personally, prefer standing, but I'll happily sit if necessary - didn't seem to be necessary). I could hear Cardiff at times, but I couldn't really make out what they were singing where I was - we seemed louder, apart from a lull in the middle, but being at the Liverpool end you'd expect that really.

Watching it on the telly today, it came across as pretty decent - better than it did in the ground.

Overall, great views, bad acoustics, but I enjoyed it.

Feedback from my brother as compared to how it came across has to be that design makes it hard to hear your own fans.

I shall never understand people who stand there all game and don;t make any effort to sing one single song. And fair play to the lads in 113 getting a few songs going even if many others were not willing to join in.

Lucky you weren't in 526. Some of the moaning there had to be heard to be believed!!

I didn't hear a single "Don't buy the S*n" or "Justice for the 96" inside the ground. Maybe there was a Justice after the pens but that might have been on the walk back up Wembley way.

Pretty much everyone around me in 119 were singing it along with everyone else. I can't see how you couldn't hear it - sounded like most people singing it to me - you could hear it from all around in every Red stand.

Mixed opinions really. Think the stadium itself is pretty fucking impressive, it's massive. Didn't look like there was a bad spec in the house either. Seeing thousands upon thousands on Wembley way is pretty cool but in truth if things kicked off there it'd be mayhem. I guess the police would be on it if it was two rivals playing eachother....too naive? Dunno. Impressed with how quickly we got from staidum to tube after the game though.

i understand what people are saying about others not knowing the words around you. like you sort of have to assess the accents/attitudes of the people around you to know what songs they're going to sing. i stuck to the basic ones when i was getting them going cos i had norweigans infront. some 14 year old who thought he was hard cos he was swearing next to me. some fella who sounded like a manc behind me who whinged non-stop. at one point i pushed the boat out "EVERY OTHER SATURDAYS ME HALFDAY OFF AND ITS OFF TO THE MATCH I GO" nothing. can everybody learn this fucking song please

the toilet were a joke. missed the start of extra time cos of them, albeit 45 seconds. if we beat stoke i'll be pissing in a cup and then putting it in the bin im afraid.

i was surprised my the amount of people around me that didn't want to sing. just moan. downing this downing that. gerrard this gerrard that. etc etc etc. whats the point in that in an occasion as big as that? we're all in it together in the aim of leaving with the cup. infighting doesnt help anyone. its one thing crying "sat" in anfield telling people to sit down and then whinging about our players but christ at a finals even worse.

You're joking right? You know you can stand on the seats right? My lads do it most games in the Kop no problems and have been since they were knee high. More like you and it'd be like watching the opera!! I bet the noisy buggers' singing scared your son too, and those banners and muppets holding scarves up during that noisy song must have really been inconvenient.

Had one of them right next to me. Clearly from Liverpool, said he'd been going to the game for years and years. Seemed sound before the kickoff, after that, sat down, and said nothing all game unless it was calling Downing a twat, or Kenny clueless etc etc. Sang nothing and insisted everyone in front of him sat down too. Ditto some complete and utter b***h two rows in front of us who had everyone squeezed next to her as she wouldn't shift over into one of at least 8 seats next to her that were empty as it was HER seat. Also refused to move or allow the Digger banner to be seen properly etc. Said NOTHING the entire game, even when we scored - or won (although she allowed herself to stand up no idea why she was even there if she's just gonna sit there!!

Nah, we had loads of singing around us  - well from us and a couple of rows in front bar the exceptions noted above. Was ok, but it was a little hard to join in some of the other songs as they were sometimes too quiet, competing with other songs from the other side etc. Don't mean to make it sound all shite, just the couple of muppets around us.

Oh and some complete and utter Cockney wanker near us who turned up, looked at the Don't Buy the Sun poster on his chair, took a look at it, got angry, screwed it up and flung it away in complete disgust whilst saying something like st**id f***ing c**ts. Took some photos with his whopper mates and then fucked off again.

The Wembley atmosphere is no where near as good as it could have been. As stated earlier it was built with the corporate experience in mind, which is a great pity.
The problem you get with a 'bowl' style stadium is that any singing doesn't get focused in any one direction and therefore all the way through the match you can hear 'sound' and lots of it, but it was hard to work out what was being sung.

In an older style stadium with 4 stands, basically rectangular, there is a focus and direction to the singing from each of the stands and therefore each side is more auidible and sounds louder on the opposite side.
That is why the KOP comes across so loud even when there's only a few hundred singing. If it had a lower roof then it would sound even louder.

Lacked any character compared to the old Wembley, very Americanised and sanitised.

Interesting that you should put it that way.  Obviously, I wasn't there but, watching it from Seattle, it felt to me exactly like the atmosphere of a Super Bowl played in a domed stadium here -- particularly with the massive, spread-out layout, the echoing acoustics and, yes, the stage-managed nature of canned music and P.A. announcements -- the very opposite of the atmosphere I want during a crucial football/soccer match.

(1) The stadium announcer was a textbook exercise in how to sound like a complete twat.  Every sentence, no matter how unimportant, made to sound like the world's greatest melodrama.  Thank f*ck for George Sephton.

(2) Been to several England games at Wembley and have given up because the atmosphere is such shite.  Wasn't that much better on Sunday.  The sound is just lost and muffled no matter how loud we are.  Far too many people in my block (524) not singing.  Never understood the point of going to matches if you're not going to throw your heart and soul into it.

(3) IME, toilet problems are worse on the upper tier near the half-way line.  It's quicker to walk round the concourse and use those at the ends.

(4) Prices are a joke, and I suspect the beer is not normal strength.

I didn't hear a single "Don't buy the S*n" or "Justice for the 96" inside the ground. Maybe there was a Justice after the pens but that might have been on the walk back up Wembley way.

I was in 525 mate and it was the same there, I had two whoppers behind me saying the only person performing on the day was Skrtl and no one else in the squad was doing anything, like most of the season... I was honestly in disbelief...we have some fans out there that really shouldn't go to matches with that attitude, let proper fans get a ticket and get behind the lads on the pitch

Just a bigger version of The Emirates for me. There's no real distinguishable feature, the arch is nothing we haven't seen before, The Reebok's got about four of them! Just another to add to the growing list of modern, identikit stadiums popping up around the country, albeit on a grander scale.
