The Night King was likely a Stark lad (magical blood like Bran or Uncle Benjen so the wee green children people tied him to a werewood tree (a blood drinking sacrifice holy tree with a face carved into it that’s your old school modem into the medieval internet - the kind of tree the original 3 Eyed Raven was impaled on) with a big spiral of standing stones round it. They stuck a shard of that magical dragon glass into him and turned him into an immortal monster zombie. The idea was that they were (this was thousands of years back) fighting and losing a war against human humans, and losing, so they created the zombie night king monster to help them get back into the game and win. And they won... but it ended in a big truce and people and child people and zombie man started making artistic patterns in caves and out of dead people to commemorate it cos they didn’t have stamps in those days.

Absolutely love the books and the show but really not into the whole "everyone is a secret Targaryen!!" angle. We've already had Jon and Maester Aemon, really don't need anymore, especially not with another major character.

That's not the same. Being a dragonrider means controling him where to go, when to release fire etc.

Not sure about any hints but the last we saw of it was by Lyanna's bed when Ned came to her. Could it be at Winterfell somewhere?

Depends on how it is coded,that would be as good as anything on normal tv,the one I am watching now is 560'ish h.265 so is close to 1080p,near as damn it perfect.

A set up episode but a necessary one surprised there was no Kings Landing stuff. All the pieces are in place now the last four episodes are going to be insane. Feel like a lot of the deaths that will happen in next weeks episode have been strongly foreshadowed in that one.
