I've sat by patiently listening to this conversation. But the patience has run out. When the fuck is Ronnie Whelan going to mentioned?

Your right! So underated and a quartet of Keane, Giles, Brady and Whelan is a very good group to pick your all time Irish midfield not to mention the immense talent of Whiteside but he loses out because his career was cut short by injury and drinking.

Elisha Scott was born before Partition but he played for Liverpool when Northern Ireland existed.
Maybe Conor will be playing for Liverpool after N. Ireland ceases to exist.

Aldo was born in Garston, so not really part of Liverpool, never mind England. ;D

Another brutal blow for the transfer junkies. It seems we won't need an RB in the summer.

Rock solid at the back, hard working, good on the ball. Can't ask more from a young fullback.

He is quite a big lad too for a full back and the loan to Bolton would have done him the world of good playing each week against tough pros.

We've got some really talented youngsters coming through. If 4 or 5 of them can become regular first teamers this leaves us in an enviable position of possibly just needing to sign one top class player every summer. That's how it was during the glorious 70's & 80's.
