Granted there are probably 'better' teams in the the competition now but it was harder to get in.

For example, unless Real won the league and Barca won the European Cup (or vice versa), only 1 team would be in the comp.

Just because hes won two it doesn't necessarily mean he'll win another. There are plenty other good teams/managers out there that could possibily stop him from ever winning it again. As proved last night.

Surely the likes of Bela Guttmann and Fabio Capello were thought of as bankers for 3+ European Cups.  Never happened did it?  Of course, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Guardiola, and the like could still get there but it's no guarantee.
