Great performance from the lad. Surely a cert to start ahead of Rhys Williams now. Far better defender and calmer on the ball

Again ;)
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Against certain teams/tactics he's boss, if we can remember how to take corners he should be a threat the other end. More than happy to keep him at the club next season for rotation, if he's happy with that. Helps with the association trained quota.

Did very well against these in both games. A bit like how Rafa would throw in certain defenders for teams like Bolton and Stoke because they could stand up to them physically.

Did well on the ball too today.

Good performance vs West Ham. We really needed that.

Stuck it all the way up the arses of those that doubted you before the game.

What a response to the doubters.

An excellent game......just a pity that Robertson deflected the ball for their goal.
Anyway Phillips had a fantastic game.

Don't forget to let Antonio out of your pocket, lad!

Did well especially aerially (except for the missed header for their goal). Good confidence too, he's becoming more reliable.

Some good passing as well mixed in with excellent heading and good positioning

Doesn’t really need saying again how embarrassing the slaughtering of him has been recently, but might as well just say it once more for shits and giggles

Yep, he's not the long term answer but that's no fault of his.  All we can ask of any player is that they give their best for the good of the team and Nat did that in spades today.

I'm not sure he's ever let us down to be honest.
