Just how astonishingly good is the new album? I've had a fractured month with technology fails and have only got to playing it properly this week. It's fabulous. There's something about their 'sound' that gets right to the heart of me.

I can't stop listening to it. It's their best album yet in my opinion...and that's saying something.

Go see them on tour behind this album by all means.....

I am an excited kid jumping around in the bedroom listening to them - a bit of a shame my middle-aged body has trouble keeping up....   :-/   Was literally hobbled for a couple of days after their show at the Garden in early August.  I mentioned it in the other AF thread but Month of May, Sprawl II, Rococo and Empty Room are massive live.

Have to say that website thingy has got me listening to We Used To Wait on constant rotation now.  Love how they're a band that also cares about the details - that echoing/delayed keyboard pattern is part of the runout groove on the vinyl....you'll hear it all night if you're a lazy so-and-so or without an automatic turntable.  Love that.

And will say again that as long as Regine gets her fair share (if not more) of time on whatever project they're working on, they can't fail.   I honestly believe that they have more than enough "there" there that I honestly look forward to hearing what they'll produce over the next 5/10/15 years.

....WAIT FOR IT!!

Hope you don't mind but wanted to post a couple of these....  :wave

The third photo was taken at the end of "Tunnels" - a little on the cliched side maybe but still kinda sorta cool.   :)

I absolutely adore Regine. Up with Radiohead as my favorite band at the moment. Funeral will always be one of my favorite albums and The Suburbs is up there. Neon Bible wasn't bad either. :)

I haven't stopped playing it since this post. I've got the new Manics album all cued up but I can't get past the Suburbs. Sprawl II is currently killing me. They are the Douglas Coupland of Rock.

The Suburbs - what an album! Listened to it every day for the past two weeks or so. So many good tracks, I'm finding it difficult at the moment to pick out a standout track. Though Rococo...Nah, too early yet. Give it another two weeks.  :)

They are so so good, i can't even put into words how much i love em.

Still have Suburbs playing in my car, favourites are 'Ready to Start', 'Month of May', 'Empty Room', 'Sprawl II'

So happy they are getting the props they deserve. As you can see by the Avatar, i adore Regine.

They are also starting to get the bitter backlash bitebacks as well I've noticed.  I used to get sucked into that as a kid but it bores me to tears now.  They're a great band.

Just pushed myself to buy The Suburbs today, didn't really know much about Arcade Fire before, but if their other albums are even half as good as The Suburbs, then I've been missing out for years, its astonishingly good.

Makes me dead dissappointed that I missed them at Leeds as well.

seetickets.com or through the band's site (arcadefire.com, the SHOWS link). Just bought a pair...now to sort out flights/hotel!

Going to cost a bomb but wth. The castle backdrop and several boozy thousand warbling along to Laika on a warm summer's eve is *way* too good to pass up. Been ages since last in Scotland so the perfect reason to return.   ;D

Fucking class band and for once the Grammy actually went to an album that deserved it.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

There are plenty of amazing apartments you can stay in in and around the castle as well.

I'm not gonna be in the UK in September so devastated as it feels like it could be a sort of once in a lifetime night (I lived on the royal mile for 4 years and never got any of this shit happening  :( )

Enjoy

For me Funeral is as close to a perfect album as it gets these days (that is aside from the classics). Love how Win and Regine went to the school I'm at too.
