I thought it was a penalty. Perhaps its clumsy, but Puyol clearly impedes what is a definite (imo) goal. Reds probably very harsh, since it's not intentional, but I can see why both decisions were made. Thought the ref was pretty awful actually, he gave far too many fk's to Barca over nothing, I recall an incident were Keita was shielding the ball from Sagna, and the ref just blew up for nothing. Then missed what I thought was a stonewall pen to Messi, and makes that decision at the other end.
Was feeling bad for Fabregas picking up that yellow, thought it was a good old English sliding tackle from the side and he got a part of the ball. He may be a massive twat but going over to Spain and playing at the Camp Nou would have been very special for him I imagine. Then he broke his leg (haha yeah right) scoring the pen so it doesn't matter I suppose. If they have Arshavin, Fabregas and Gallas all out, I think Barca will score more goals than they concede at home. Probably something like 3-1, with Iniesta to return as well.
Puyol and Pique being out does throw a bit of a spanner into the works, but I think a team of Barca's quality have more than capable replacements. After all, the 2 goals they conceded tonight were from turnovers, they bossed the rest of the game. Don't think I've ever seen Arsenal more thoroughly dominated by a team home or away, and they can count themselves very lucky the scoreline wasn't more one-sided. Was thinking how brilliant Almunia was at HT, then sat down and about a minute later thought he was a twat again.
Some beautiful football, but some awful finishing is how i'd sum that game up.
