Best couple of days racing outside of Cheltenham. Hopefully it gets more British runners when Covid has blown over.

Great days racing instore lads, best of luck everyone.

Agree. The Cotswold is fascinating. Bristol is a stone better at Haydock, Santini on the balance of his form should be thereabouts, Native River may be on the wane and his stable aren’t in top form. Saint Calvados maybe doesn’t really get this trip. Yala Enki is certain to stay and though not considered top class, will certainly get the trip, and will love conditions, as will Lake View Lad. I shan’t be having a bet, but will certainly watch it.

As for the Irish Champion hurdle? It looks like a match, but when Mullins fields multiple runners, you never know...

Energumene is a big danger to Shishkin, tossup at this stage.

Sharjah to beat Honeysuckle for me here.

Yes definitely and I think while there may not be as many superstars this year, the strength in depth is incredible.

Obviously have to go over and do it now but I'm excited.

Sharjah wiped out a two of my bets but had Abacadabras in a few too which are still alive. I can't think of the other horses in my bets though. Ive got Delta Work in a few and in an EW double with Master Macshee today.

Incredible that the same owner had all of them. He bought 4 monsters and can still consider himself unlucky. They should’ve won way more and would’ve without bad luck and injuries.

I was never that big a fan of Honeysuckle but she wiped the floor with them yesterday. Good luck today mate.

One that interest me is Carlos Felix for the Skeltons in the juvenile hurdle at Musselburgh. Not sure how he will handle the ground but I liked him on the flat last summer. Always thought he would be interesting over hurdles.

I'll give Youmdor another chance in the juvenile hurdle at Leopardstown as well. Think he's a cracking horse.

Rest of the day probably a watching brief.

She did indeed.

Does anyone know what's going on here ? Weeks ago I done a EW Yankee and I got a 5/2 2nd and a 7/2 winner and a 2/1 winner. The last horse was A Plus Tard but it's not running today. They'll stil pay out I reckon but will it be after the Gold Cup today ?

Tossup between the two Elliott four year olds for Cheltenham.

It's on 365 and thanks.

Not related but I get at on average two footie trebles in a week and developed a bit of a system. If my footie pays for example £57.00 I'll withdraw £50.00 and do a yankee , trixie or EW treble with the £7.00. I'll be honest I've yet to land a big one .

Two shockers for me today  :D

Always good to be betting with house money.

On a sort of related note, there seems to be an almighty gamble going on three horses today. First one in already, next up the FAV in the 2.35 in Southwell and last leg is the FAV in the 4.25 in Musselburgh.

That’s the second one in. Never in doubt really, always travelling, sent on 3 out and then nothing got within 2 lengths. That last one at Musselburgh is going to be stupidly short.

It'll be like the Charles Byrnes gamble a few years ago. But these horse were even bigger prices, not on it hope to fuck it comes in for those who got on it though.

Monkfish is the best horse in training I feel. He's as much of a cert for a Gold Cup as you can be as a novice.

I've never seen anything like it to be honest. I know we had the year with the Mullins/Ricci four but this year the depth is incredible. There's horses finishing 2nd or 3rd that I think would comfortably win grade 1s all over England.

Horse looked to be one of 4 horses still in contention coming to the last but faded to finish 4th.

Would have been one of the gambles of the century if all 3 had pulled that off.

Slighty off topic.

I got peanuts back of the yankee with A Plus Tard not running. It was Betfred and not 365 so threw the peanuts on a line on the bingo as was a tad bevvied . Anyway I won £55.00 and withdrew the £50.00 .

Is right.

Champion Hurdle is without doubt the weakest of the big races, so he could clearly go mighty close. Hasn’t got much to beat unless Honeysuckle goes there.

Well done to the lads who had the faith to back him.

All the talk is that Honeysuckle is definitely going Champion Hurdle route now.

I know 5 year olds have a terrible record in the race but I'm all over Goshen now, skinny enough at 5/1 now but I'm enamoured with him.

Yeah, I love him even though I’ve never won a penny from him. He’s just exciting to watch, he’s as likely to finish last as he is to win 15 lengths ;D
