On the one hand I think it is understandable to complain about how many games the players are being asked to play this year due to Covid. On the other I just don't want to hear any complaints about thin squad or similar when it comes to ManC, it's just a joke. Just because you fucked up your squad building while spending £1bn doesn't mean you get to cry about it. Are they now not favored to beat Leicester or almost any other team in the PL when it's a lineup of Sterling, KdB, Foden and Mahrez as attackers? Give me a break.
He's edging into Mourinho-esque territory now.
The cracks were showing last season, and his arrogant 'Us against the world' mentality has only increased since the CAS/FFP verdict.
I think he'll leave if he can't close the gap this season, as he clearly struggles to tolerate imperfection and will blame everyone but himself. He'll need to build another team if he extends his contract, which he hasn't done anywhere else.
It would certainly be interesting to see him at another club - one where he hasn't inherited the best squad in history as he did at Barca, or isn't managing in a one-team league in Germany, or isn't spending £1billion in 5 years at a corrupt oil club.
