You dont want to peak too early. I reckon every effort will be made to ensure we peak in the late Feb-April period. Guardiola however seems to want his team to try to blow everyone out the water early this month, which is probably why his team wont win the CL and he is a stupid cardigan wearing c*nt.

:) That made me laugh, so thank you.

If we can spark Keita and Firmino into some form and field an actual right-back, we can give this a right go.

Give me a choice now, and I'll take a defeat against Bayern (both legs) if we can beat United on their patch and concentrate all our firepower
on winning Premier league games.

If we do that, its roughly 50/50 between us and City, which I'll take all day long. Then we'll see who gets hit worst by injuries and fatigue come march-may.

I wil be in attendance at Woodison tonight.

My lady is a blue unfortunately and as a birthday present we always get the other a ticket to see our team play. Her mate has dropped out last minute so I will be stepping behind enemy lines and will actually celebrate an Everton win. Not too much though.

So you WANT to win, but you EXPECT to draw or lose? Not sure how that works.
Don't wish to speak for The Red Pill but nowhere in that post does he say that he 'expects' to win to draw. He does, however, state that he does not expect to win EVERY game. A healthy and realistic attitude since you can't win them all. The disappointment I personally feel about any less than ideal result is normally gone the following day (barring losses to the Red Mancs which puts me into a foul mood for longer.)

My advice to fellow reds is to stay the fuck away from social media, BT Sport, Sky and any other collective bollocks. Most of what is said and written is click-bait crap not worth reading let alone getting riled up over.

We will either win the league or we won't. Only thing we can do is try and make the team understand that while we're nervous, we have faith in them.

I actually dont expect us to win the league.
Neither do I. Of course, this seems to make us stand out as 'bedwetters' or 'not real fans.' Realistically, we are not favourites to beat an oil cheat team with ridiculous funds that can create a squad of insane strength due to their cheating activity over a nine-month, 38 game period.

I think Tomkins has written about how every side that wins the league (barring Leicester) is in the top two in terms of wages and cost of squad. If we end up with 92 points and don't win it, idiots will be calling is bottlers, even though it will be a higher points total than what any Ferguson United side ever managed AFAIK. If we do win it, it will be an extraordinary achievement, no question about it.

Personally, I don't see how falling short of an extraordinary achievement is 'failure'.

I'll also be there tonight in amongst the BS fans.  Mrs CDO is a sky blue and chanced getting tickets for this.  She managed to get tickets from the Neverton website just yesterday.

Makes me laugh this so called media debate about would Everton want to lose tonight.

Everton are in 9th and in serious danger in finishing in the bottom half of the table. If Everton lose tonight it's because they deserve too and they're crap.

No debate is happening about City V Chelsea on Sunday and if Chelsea want lose to stop Spurs winning the title.

Think it highlights Everton are becoming a joke of a club and not a club that's taken seriously.

Forget he media. Liverpool need to concentrate on Liverpool.

Absolutely right. People are making out like Everton are this brilliant football team who will go out of their way to hand City the game.
"If Everton lose tonight it's because they deserve too and they're crap" - that's the sole reason.
I genuinely find it staggering that people actually believe that Marco Silva, Richarlason, Gueye, Sigardsson, Coleman etc etc would intentionally lose a game when they are getting grief from all angles.
for what ?  to please their fans ?  The fans will be calling for heads if they are beat

So you WANT to win, but you EXPECT to draw or lose? Not sure how that works.

It works very easily. He wants us to win every game. He doesn't throw his toys out of the pram if we don't win every game because he understands in football no team in history has won every game in a league season, therefore there'll be some games we drop points in and it's not the end of the world. Wanting to win and expecting to win every game are two different things entirely. One is an obvious feeling for any supporter, the other turns you in to an entitled, moaning and groaning cretin.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

We have made city believe. After newcastle game they were lost. Win leicester title would've been in the bag . We messed up then again a draw against west ham really spoiled things.

Bournemoth and united game is a must win.

Win those two. Normal service resumes. City could drop points against chelsea too .

I hope everyon going to game against Bournemoth does their bit

Jesus, some of our players need to fucking wake up. The slow ponderous build up from the back is fucking shite and just lets teams get into position and sit back.

West ham attacked us the other night every time and had at least 5 or six in an around our box at 1-1 when the ball went to our keeper and we just sat there, not looking for the ball, or a run or a release and let them all get back infront of their 18 yard and start the slow sideways buildup. We also fucked up letting Clyne go. As much as he hasnt played hes infinitely quicker and better at right back than Milner, no offense to James.

We looked knackered and creativity is shot to shit as is confidence. We need to fuck these winter Dubai jollies off, I could be wrong but everytime we come back from them we play shite. We have lost Rhythm and injuries have killed us too. Shame it had to happen but Glad it did now while we were a few points ahead.

City have a stronger squad, it's extremely difficult to finish above them. Their midfield creativity is a lot better than ours.

It's been a great season so far despite recent dropped points, we have only lost 1 all season, problem is City set such a high standard even that might not be enough.
It's incredibly difficult to win this league. We have barely done nothing wrong so far but you almost think you need to win nearly every game to stand a chance, that's how tough it is.

The media are bound to have a lot of coverage of us, it's a big story as we haven't won the league for so long, players and fans need to just ignore most of it. It comes with the territory of where we are, much better to have this kind of talk than be mid table or scrapping away near the bottom of the league.

And yet... we are top.

City have a good side, that's widely known. But I think we need to accept, for real, that we have a very good squad too. In fact, it's so strong that we have a very good chance at the title. It will be a very tough challenge, but we need to face it head on.

The behaviour of the supporters (US), pundits, and media in general  is just OUT OF THIS WORLD.

City lost against Leicester, Crystal Palace at home and Newcastle.

We drew two games.

We are top of the league.

and everyone is having say against us...everybody is criticising us and making City look if they were an unbeatable war machine, which is totally WRONG.

the problem is that you are what you believe to be, and if we keep behaving this way, City will keep believing to be unbeatable. Simple as that. Players need to SHUT social medias and turn off televisions asap. I would LOCK THEM UP AT MELWOOD IF I COULD.

and us supporters, we must do OUR JOB, SUPPORT THEM AND SING. POSITIVE ENERGY.

Think I’m right in saying we can afford to drop 6 points from here and win it. Two defeats and win the rest, or 3 draws and win the rest. Almost certainly won’t win every last game so every extra bit of breathing space is great.

Now down to only being able to drop 2 points if City win all theirs. I think even that is doable if we can win the next couple and have all our injuries cleared.

Win all our home games then the away games are

Man Utd
Everton
Fulham
Southampton
Cardiff
Newcastle

We can win all of those easily but a draw at the Mancs would be the most likely one we'd drop points in.

Easy as fuck this  :D

True, but also players out of form, Firmino for example was awful the other night, Salah was well below par too.
That said they play most games and we don't have adequate back up.

There wasn't one major signing by a big club in england during the january transfer window but yes, sure, Klopp was too arrogant to add to the squad then.

At the same time, Clyne isnt getting assists or in the position that Milner got into against Palace and West Ham. Swings and roundabouts.

Loaning Clyne out isnt losing us the league.

And if they do choose to waste their time fishing in those cesspools, then don't post random ramblings on here about what is on rival fan sites, what their mates/colleagues/Sky/or someone on Twitter has said, or how we're 'bottlers', or how we going to lose the title because, well, you know - 2013/14, 2008/9, Dubai, or because we loaned out Clyne.

Focus on our incredible achievement so far, supporting the players, and trusting the manager.

We're in a fantastic position for a final push in the coming months.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.

Glory hunters? We haven't won the league for nearly 3 decades.
Yes glory hunters - people who only enjoy when things are going well? As they are now? Not sure what's confusing about that.

They'll be back not giving a shit if we don't win the league this season.
