To be honest, they have a decent squad, they should be producing MUCH better football. Results are strictly secondary, their football is very poor.

You don't remember the Everton moving to Kirkby fun? They even had a fans committee called KEIOC (Keep Everton In Our City) because they didn't want to use the word "Liverpool" to describe their heartfelt need to stay in Liverpool. (Of course they haven't even been based in Everton itself for even longer than your lot vacated Manchester, but that's another matter.)

Who's talking about club names? There's always been a number of examples of clubs being named after a town or city they're not located in - Nottingham Forest being a good example (located in West Bridgford, across the Trent from Nottingham). What your club calls itself doesn't alter the fact that they don't play in Manchester

Cheshire took a slice of Lancashire at the same time as it lost a lot of the Wirral, absorbing Lancashire towns like Widnes and Warrington
