"Brendan Rodgers is eight players short of becoming genuine title contenders." - Mr. Ferguson.Yeah, about that little quote of yours, Whiskybrain, maybe you meant your little protege, the "chosen one" Moyes?
And Henderson has a dodgy gait. And Gerrards not a top top player .... Seems like Brendan is a better judge First premier league post Ferguson and Liverpool are climbing back onto that perch
Ever so faintly surprised that amid all the nervous relief on this forum we three are the only ones posting in appreciation of the manager who's taken us to within 7 points of the League Title, in his Second Season, having finished Seventh the previous season.
It was effectively a 4-3-2-1, yet another formation Rodgers has utilised during a fascinating season where he has repeatedly kept opposition managers guessing. Part of the reason Liverpool start matches superbly is because opponents take a while to understand exactly what they are playing against.
What really impresses me about the guy is not only are we going to win the league playing the best football in over 20 years but that he's done this while experimenting with different formations. He's extremely tactically astute, especially having to react when one way of playing is not working. Anyone worrying about how we going to play when in europe .No need
So, let me get this straight. It's April 20th 2014, in Brendan's second season with us, after we finished seventh, and we've just guaranteed Champions League football for next season.Have I got that right?
I'm getting a bit of a ribbing from some Manc friends about Liverpool supporters wanting Rodgers out at the end of last season. I didn't get that impression, even from some of the whingers on here. Are they just spouting shite, or have I missed something?
looking a bit disheveled in the post match interview, slipping brendo
Sounds like he has a heavy cold to me.
I was going to ask if i was the only one who thought he looked ill. Probably not the best time for the entire team to jump on him after Sterling's goal.
I'll bring out the stats and heat maps if we sign him.
He is going to take some doing if he can improve from this season.Probably needs to win all 38 league games and a cup
And then we'll get 4th as well and everyone in the whole world can do one.

That's exactly what it was. It was an interesting formation, worked in some respects, but not in others. No Plan B, this lad.
My highlight of the match today was seeing Sterling and Mr Rodgers hug. Just like how a father would do his son and then the whole team jumped in on top. That really brought me to tears. I have become really emotional of late. Not used to this title chasing business. I have Seen it again on the forum but my computer is so old it keeps crashing when I view it.I really get the feeling that the team would do anything for the manger and it is so nice to see. Thank you Mr Rodgers for the enjoyment that you have provided me throughout the season. Whatever happens I am such a proud LFC fan and glad that you are our leader .
These snidey Andy Dunn articles make pretty funny reading now...http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/andy-dunn-column-liverpool-wont-840794http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-liverpool-lfc-must-1714448Thank god he wasn't John Henry's advisor.
He's poised for legend status. What a great manager he is.
I think a lot of people are now seeing Ferguson for what he was - a patriarch who relied on the nous of very good coaches. For all his 'genius', e left them with a shit squad, chose a turkey of a manager and came out with the FUBAR of the century with that quote about Rodgers/Liverpool.
