BBC saying £55m?

BBC all over that when it comes to Liverpool!  Yesterday headlines of Bellingham to Madrid - quoting only the initial fee, today Mac Allister to Liverpool, not quoting the initial fee!

Pellegrino too.

We haven’t had many though. I liked Insua and he left when Hodgson bought Konchesky which always felt a backward move but only Masch and briefly Maxi have been a success. We’ve had a lot better track record with Brazilians. Feels like it’s been the other way round with Man United.

Think it's £35m initially and can reach £55m if he hits all the add-on clauses based on a couple of Brighton fans I saw on Twitter

Doubt it, Romano is absolutely certain it is 35 million. If it's a release clause as everyone seems to agree, I doubt there'd be that much in addons. Perhaps some outlandish clauses like Ballon d'or etc. Added to make it seem like Brighton did not get robbed. For all instance and purposes, this is a 35million deal from most reliable sources.

Good signing this - good age, Premier League ready, World Cup winner, goals from midfield, and a decent penalty-taker. Bring in another midfielder, perhaps more defence-oriented and full of energy, and we instantly address the biggest weakness from last season.

They always take the negative slant with us. I'm surprised they aren't running a "but but Haaland only cost 55m" article alongside it. Tory bas tards.

Yep, as well as a few other issues, a big problem with our midfield has been the age range, most either too young or too old. The other two we've looked at are about 22 too.

 ;D

Someone got a slapped wrist! Amazed they changed it.   But a 20m discrepancy is a quite the difference, and makes little sense on a buy-out clause. That’s quite a big part of them - you pay the fee, and that’s the end of it.

Surprised at that price. Hopefully means allowance for more players....

Although this has happened only a week into the transfer window opening feels like its been going on forever.

Let's hope he can find his rhythmn in this team and be available consistently.

Welcome Alexis. A great piece of business, and he looks the perfect fit for us.

A combative, energetic, midfield playmaker that could be deployed as an 8 or 10 (and possibly a 6 when needed), who scores goals, and is a world cup winner. He fills part of a big void left by ageing or injured players, or players that left this summer. All for a fee that isn't silly money either. Happy days  :)

Can't wait to see him playing in a Liverpool shirt. Please don't get injured.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.
