All good brother.

You know, I can't think of a time we've had such a pool of talent in the 'youth development age' that we've either loaned out or are at the club in the moment.

What a time to be an LFC fan.

That is absolutely woeful goalkeeping by Randolph. 99 times out of 100 a competent goalkeeper catches that with ease.

Just saw Irelands line-up :o

Is that pretty much their full strength side these days? If so, I hadn't realised they'd become so shit. Full of championship and league one level players.

Aye!!

We can say we are shit nobody else!

that ref loves a harsh penalty!

Whatever the result, this has been far better from Germany, we'll see if Loew sticks with the pace and youth, if he doesn't, and goes back to the tedious, snailspace play of the last few games, he deserves nothing but the push.

Griezmann is a fine player, albeit a huge cringe merchant.

Something is seriously amiss with the talent identification and coaching in Ireland. Even if you struggle to produce players that can pass the ball at least find some lads that are powerful and can run fast. Absolutely fuck all in this Ireland side; no pace, no creativity, no guile and definitely no talent. I could run their FA better than the current lot.

Never know what to make of Griezmann to be honest. He can do good things then does something incredibly average, very inconsistent.

France certainly have got winning while playing shit football down to a fine art  :D

Unlucky for Germany, but they can but hope Loew doesn't go back to his weak-willed ways and panders to the old guard. There was enough in that performance to show the way forward, and it doesnt involve slow, rigid, lethargic build up play. Germany have enough good players to move on positively.

Unlikeable in so many respects this side, not least for robbing the World Cup final. A solid defence sure but for all the talent they have it's depressing watching them serve up such tedious football. Hopefully they'll get turned over a few times so Deschamps can stop bleating on about results.

Absolutely I was impressed with Werner today thought he was very bright and unlucky not to score. Surely he will have seen enough from that performance to know that's the way forward for Germany. They have so many outstanding young talents, makes no sense not to use them now rather than the Bayern Munich crowd.

yeah for sure. Werner did play well, his pace too is such a threat. Gnabry had some nice moments, Sane too, he looks a bit low on confidence though, but he's a hell of a talent. Schulz was good too, Kimmich who I don't quite see the point of using in midfield, played well. Kehrer is worth integrating more in the squad, maybe at centre half next time. Then Brandt, and Havertz to come back in too. No reason not to use these players moving forward. There is no excuse.

Was over in Dublin for the win against the Irish - those few minutes after Harry Wilson's goal were some of the best following Wales. Finally got over our Irish hoodoo!

Was on the flight home with Giggs, Ashley Williams, Chester, Lawrence, Woodburn, Danny Ward, James McClean and James Chester. I can confirm that James Chester is one of the nicest people I've met! James McClean was nice too - he and Ashley Williams seemed to be good mates.

Saw Hennessey, Arter, Doherty and someone else Irish too. Blew my little sleep-deprived, hungover mind.

Some rumours about Woodburn's seeming decline have surfaced too, from a fair few of the Welsh fans who are slightly connected, that he's let his early "success" get to his head. Don't know if it's true or just nonsense, but he came over way more cocky than the other players, but that's no indicator. I'd be the cockiest fucker alive if I was scoring for Wales and Liverpool at 16!

Think not starting for Sheffield United should ring some alarm bells for him, however.

exactly! IF there is anything in it, and yes for sure, he wouldn't be the first young footballer who let things go to his head, this would be a wake-up call. So hopefully if he needed it, he'll be doing his damnest to work his way into the team.

It may just be that he isn't as big a talent as so many think / thought he was, and that too is a common occurance. So many youngsters show a shit ton of promise early on, looking a class above at certain age groups, but not making that big leap. Doesnt mean he won't end up having a good career.
