Biggest flop In Europeon football over the last 10 years.

Not a one off move that failed like Berbatov to the mancs, as we all know he was class before that, or sheva to chelsea. Someone who has generally failed everywhere he has gone considering the talent they have.

Mine is van der vaart.

Benzema will be that kind of a player. He has flopped big in the La Liga and will not be any better anywhere else.

In other words, he's shite.

Take your pick...

Berbatov to United for £30m (9th most expensive transfer of all time)
Robinho to Man City for £32m (7th most expensive transfer of all time)
Shevchenko to Chelsea for £30m (10th most expensive transfer of all time)
Shaun Wright Phillips to Chelsea for £21m

I reserve judgement on Aquilani, Benzema and Kaka for the time being, they are young enough and good enough to turn things around, but it doesn't look too good at the moment.

But seriously, half of Man City's squad is full of players who cost way too much, have limited ability, and will never justify their price tags, such as Jo (£18M), Balotelli (£24m), Carlos Tevez (£45m), Lescott (£23m), Santa Cruz (£17.5m).
The above players would be pushing their luck at half their price.

He's a manipulative bastard. Another deliberate attempt to put pressure on people in the game, which he thinks he'll get away with because of his "standing" in the game and his fucking knighthood.

I'm lost, OP says people who've failed wherever they've gone, not post transfer flops, and most of the names people have listed are people who've failed after a big transfer.

Just gonna say Robbie Keane.

what im getting at is a player who has been around and constanly failed but should with their ability have done better. Not fucking ex world footballers of the year.

considering potential talent and raw ability against actual performances -trophies won aside as you can be constantly knocking around the fringes of a successful team- I would have to say Kluivert or Rui Costa, probably the latter just edging it.

Denilson cost 21.5 million for Betis in 1998 then he did this

1994–1998    São Paulo    110 (58)
1998–2005    Real Betis    186 (33)
2000–2001    → Flamengo (loan)    11 (3)
2005–2006    Bordeaux    31 (3)
2006–2007    Al-Nasr    16 (7)
2007    FC Dallas    11 (2)
2008–2009    Palmeiras    31 (5)
2009    Itumbiara    0 (0)
2009    Xi Măng Hải Phòng    1 (1)
2010    AO Kavala    0 (0)

well you could say he's overachieved having played in nearly every continent :P

Can I suggest Emerson (not the Boro one)? He has played for some of the best teams on 2 continents but never impressed me (not that that will bother him!). Played in Europe for Leverkeusen, Roma, Juve, Real Madrid and Milan but in all that time only won one league title (with Real), an Italian Supercup and the European supercup.

Think he played against us for both Roma and Juve and didn't do much.

Yeah I thought he had done more than enough to be at the WC...especially with the team they had.
