Rodgers did it at Leicester. Full team out for Liverpool in the League Cup and then rested everyone for City in the league at the weekend.

Glad to see he's picked a strong side, thought he would. This is what a team selection should look like right now in an early round cup tie. It's 'using the squad' but still really strong. Even think back to the Champions League winning season of 2018/19 we basically had to throw the FA Cup out the window to focus on the league. It should never be that way with Liverpool and it's reflected that way now.

Let's hope we have a little too much for these, they're were they are in the table for a reason and I'd expect us to go there and control it with that side out.
