Why on earth would a player who's been red carded be available for the next league game?

Used to be like that once upon a time but feels like 20+ years ago at least. Probably some random paperwork reason.

I thought for 2 yellows the suspension kicks in after one game? Maybe I'm wrong.

No, they miss the next domestic game (league or cup). Jota will miss Brighton, will be available for the derby.

Kelleher out according to Pearce, which probably means he starts as captain.

The only reason I can think of would be to allow for appeals to be lodged and reviewed.

I think it might still happen where you have mid-week fixtures and there might only be a couple of days between games, but not where you have a week long gap.

Kelleher picked up a few injuries last season too, didn't he?  Or was that the previous season.

Hope Jaros get’s a nod ahead of Adrian. Was amazing during the Euro U21s. No point risking Alisson.

Was this today? Or sometime before in training?

If it's today, why the hell are they doing that sort of training?

Mate of mine is visiting Liverpool this week. Huge Chelsea fan like, but he's up having a look around Anfield now, never been. Well impressed with it, but more so that theres a Union Saint-Gilloise wreath laid at the Hillsborough memorial. Lovely touch, fair play to them.

Adrian isn't registered is he?

I reckon Alisson plays.

Can’t we register Adrian due to a loophole around goalkeepers and injuries?

Annoying the amount of knocks Kelleher seems to pick up, maybe it’s not that many but it seems to have happened a few times when he’d perhaps get a game.

shame for Kelleher, only hope it's not too long out as the majority of his games for us are likely in the next three months rather than the end of the season

Alli will start, Jaros won't get a debut at this stage (maybe will in group game 6 if the job's done). Adrian not registered, which is for the best even now

Damn it! He'd have played a good number of games.

I'd start Ali because we need to win to secure our passage into the 2nd round. Once we're through, Pitaluga can play.

Agreed - although avoiding the can of worms of discussion when the squad was announced, it's expected that Pitaluga isn't elligible on the B list (think he will be in a few months/next season). Jaros is only other keeper I know for sure made the list

Why on earth would a player who's been red carded be available for the next league game?

To give VAR time to review it?
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Stitches on knee joint

Sounds like it's stitches for a bad cut. Bad timing for tonight but you'd think he'd be in with a chance of playing Toulouse in 3 weeks if it's just the cut.
