The key is the breakdown of when Liverpool have had 11, 10 or 9 players on the pitch (see table).

Does seem a lack of concentration, primarily from our most experienced players as well, almost that we get frustrated and try riskier and riskier passes which lead to turnovers and we're out of position.

Not that worried about it at the moment. We have made clear improvements from last season. Both goals yesterday weren’t due to structure or pressing or anything like that, just individual errors. We have to cut those out.

Joint meanest defence in the league, in spite of all those early goals conceded and all those red cards.

Starting to get some defensive solidity.

We're a weird team, we're doing well defensively with our stats but teams still create really good opportunities against us because we're so open at the back.  Brentford had two excellent chances but didn't put them away due to Alisson's quality and Wissa completely whiffing a header 4 yards from the goal with no one anywhere near him.
Sit down, shock is better taken with bent knees.

While they are occasionally giving up good chances, the average distance of an opposition shot and average xG value of them are the best they've been since 2018/19.

This is one stat this season where the red cards helped, in terms of going lower block than usual, but the general trend is positive.

Even during 2018/19 we still had worrying moments - mostly ruled off side..
