International football needs to be abolished.
If that's not on the table could we please not have half of our players crippled against some third tier outfits.

Also possibly a good chance for some fringe players like Shaq, Origi and Keita to pick up some valuable minutes.

Where's the neutral location for the Panama game our Brazilian lads have got to go to?

You’d hope there’d be some common sense given they’ve qualified and the second match is a friendly

Hopefully. Their manager has form for playing Mane loads. Think he played almost a full 90 once in a friendly when they were winning and he pulled a hamstring near the end.

Hopefully Klopp withdraws most of our players.  We clearly have a range of ailments ranging from dodgy toenails and tight muscles to the start of the sniffles.  Bobbie hasn’t had his teeth polished in a while and it is clearly affecting his game.   On a more serious note Trent certainly needs a rest.  Nothing worse than our season being derailed by injuries sustained in pointless international games.

So Lovren who hasn't played for us since Jan goes off but Stones who has missed two weeks and been on bench in those two weeks is pulled on the back of this...

Stones on the back of this:

Great news on Robertson.

He needs minutes though.

Yes, but not 180 minutes in 3 days after coming from an injury. Hopefully his manager has some sense regarding this.

On a general note, happy with Robertson missing one game - one of those who needs rest, and with Salah and Keita not selected - with Salah needing rest and Keita just coming back from injury. Not happy with Mane's selection though - he needs a rest, could do with a game's rest at least and certainly not happy with Henderson's call-up, he was just withdrawn within 20 minutes the previous midweek, makes no sense to call him up at all.

At least Lallana wasn't called up by Southgate.

Personally, I think it's great if Lovren gets a couple of games under his belt. Matip and Van Dijk have obviously done a good job together, but if Matip were to get injured (not going to speculate on the other one getting injured) we'd need Lovren to be ready to play. Sure, all that time in training will help him, but genuine match play will do even more.

Even if there's no further injuries at cb this season, there may be games where we want to do a bit of rotation as we go deep into two competitions.

Apparently "the player suffers from inflammation in the pubic area", so no groin injury. Perhaps an ingrown hair on the bollocks?  ;D
