He's likely off but it wont be until the summer. It doesn't help us (unless we can attain Fekir or someone to be a similar replacement) and it only helps Barca in a sense of helping him settle for next season. He can't play in the Champions League and they've pretty much won La Liga as a poster said above.

We can give the CL a good go, we aren't favourites but we have goals in us and VVD will hopefully settle quickly. Losing Coutinho halfway through the season with things still to play for would be idiotic from us. I don't think we're that stupid any more.

It just doesn’t make sense going now. My feeling is that we’ve already told him he can go in the summer, and he just needs to stay 6 more months and help the team win something this season (FA Cup, CL). It would be a diabolical decision by the club to sell him in January, especially if they’ve already told him he can go in the summer. I think he owes us these last 6 months at least after signing that new contract. I know contracts don’t mean much in this day and age but it just seems nonsensical to go now rather than the summer.
