I just phoned the t.o. They said they are speaking with Royal Mail. Mine were supposed to go out on Saturday, but there has been some problem. Royal Mail say they take up to 48 hours to go out.

So i am really not sure what will happen. I am lucky, i am not leaving until early on Thursday, so i still have another day. I will ask Royal Mail for my £6 back. Special delivery, seems to mean special in the sense that you are special if you get them on time.

I'm using a mate's fancard as he went to Utrecht. Should have just waited and used my own card as I had 2 away credits from last year and would have been ok but panicked when I saw the allocation!

Was worried we'd need to show photographic ID

OK spoke to the TO and the lady says its ok for me to pick the ticket up in Naples with my passport so it's all good!

Looks like anyone who hasn't received the tickets yet will be doing a pick up in Naples!

Because if they did send them, and no duplicates are issued, then what?

I have a few questions for you, if you dont mind to answer...
We are driving from Rome tomorrow morning, and back to Rome straight after the match. Will it be safe to leave the car around the Stadium before the game? We will have our bags in ect.
Can you recomend an area of Naples where they have good medium priced Restaurants... Seafood or local cuisine? We are staying close to Dante Metro Station on via  San sebastiano.

I think the lads want to go to Versuvious and Pompeii on thurs am... Is it recommended, or just another one of those tourist traps where you just see another old ruin?

The 0843 number is for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland so if you are using the 0151 international number say you are calling from the Republic of Ireland or somewhere else in Europe

They're blaming Royal Mail. The girl has asked me to return the ticket to her when it arrives at mine with details of when it arrived so they can chase it up later and presumeably get some refunds.

Anyway I've never had a problem with Special Delivery before but from now on I'll be using a proper courier for any valuable items I send.

Not sure what they are actually doing though as the girl I spoke to mentioned replacement tickets not different tickets. She said not to bring the original ticket if it turned up becasue it would be refused and they would be issuing different tickets for the same seat.

To be fair to the TO they have been more than helpful on this - I actually got 2 calls from them today to sort out the pickup in Naples and both girls were very apologetic even though it's Royal Mail's fault.

I'm also not carrying my passport around Naples with me all day as I will no doubt get pissed and lose it! Wonder if they'll accept a driving licence with the wrong address on it.

I know this isn't the right thread but does anyone use a decent courier that isn't extortionate price wise. For obvious reasons Royal Mail is £5 for next day delivery for a letter.

So has anyone got a better alternative. From what I can see the others like TNT/UPS etc are £10-£15 for next day - think I might continue to take my chances with RM

yer knob - I'm talkin to those whose tickets hadn't turned up! They told us not to bring our tickets if they did arrive because they wouldn't work at the turnstile and theyd be issuing us unfortunates with dupes

First time poster on here, but a veteran of countless euro aways
i know you are not putting your drinking destinations on this site but could someone let me know where you are heading as Naples looks a bit spread out. We get in about 11am on thursday, and don't fancy walking around Naples on our own all day being chased from bar to bar by a gang of crazy ultras.
