This time of year.. one morning it's cold, which could mean icy roads, and other days we have double-digit temperatures.
Hard to plan if you prefer biking to work as I do

Its a pisser. I've pretty much given up on getting a good nights sleep now. Been nearly 10 years for me I reckon and I'd give anything to be able to sleep properly.

I used to lie there getting annoyed, now I almost laugh about it. If I get 5 hours now I consider it a miracle.

Jeez that must be a nightmare. I was due to get up for work at 4, so I've only had 3 hours sleep, 5 and a half hours into my shift and off to Rugby and back to Widnes.

Almost three years for me,ever since our son moved back in with us.

Airport parking!

Thought I had booked the airport carpark for a flight 27th October (away for 3 nights - Wed/Thurs/Friday) but checked this afternoon and I haven't. Went to the website - £80 is the cheapest.

Be cheaper getting an Uber/cab both ways.

Led spotlights/ downlights,
Replaced the ceiling lights in three of our rooms thinking it would be more energy efficient after learning that the bulbs should last over 10,000 hrs.
6 months later I've had to replace 4 bulbs.

Have any of you tried melatonin? I've got friends and family who swear by it. The new prolonged-release gear like Circadin has definitely stretched out the length of the good sleep they're getting.

I'm lucky in that I don't have any/much trouble getting back to sleep.

My routine now is have a pee downstairs before going up to bed, have a nightcap smoke if I'm having one, have another pee, go upstairs, squeeze another pee out just to be sure. And I still wake up sometime between 2 & 4 and think 'I could do with a pee'.

I wake up at 2 o'clock every morning.Sometimes I'll be asleep again in minutes,sometimes I'll be awake for two or three hours.

I'd broaden this to any celebrity owned/endorsed wine.

I was in Morrisons over the summer and they had Kylie Rose at £17 a bottle alongside some Angelina Jolie wine, again way above what you can get a decent bottle for.

I don't mind paying for decent wine if it's worth it, but to me a fair bit of the £17 is paying for the celebrity name. Just when is enough enough for these people? If they genuinely want to support the production of great wine, theres loads of ways to get involved that doesn't involve plastering their signature all over bottles.

Not a massive jump but it is definitely noticeable, it's fucking shit fuel. It's also harmful for cars older than 2011 I think. I generally find that the cost of living is a scam.
