Just read somewhere he would have been 18 today, sad his life was taken away so cruelly by those 2 scumbags who murdered him in cold blood back in 93.

A real tragedy i remember that friday well similar to the feeling's we all had about young Rhys's life getting tragical taken by scum .

How can you do something so sick at such a young age, yet be normal?

I was very young at the time, but remember it well.

The train track was by my granddads, when i asked why there was lots of flowers etc how could they of explained to me what had happened?

What is disgusting is the Government have given them new identities, a roof over their head and various other things(at ourselves, the taxpayers expense something Im sure none of us consented to!).
And the scary thing is the murdering bastards could get married one day and have their own kids, and neither the wife nor the kids would ever know who they were and what they had done.
Imagine being married to someone like that and being oblivious to it, they should have a right to know.

I assume you are not fishing so how about he murdered a child and then got done for having child abuse images on his computer. Now he may be in a position where he finds himself dating a woman with children who has no idea who he is.

If that was your ex missus and they were your kids would you be arsed?

Did the terms of his licence for distribution of child abuse images include no access to the internet?

There has got to be the structures in place to monitor offenders whilst on licence.

So they weren't and couldn't date people prior to this joining of a dating site ? I don't really see why using that medium is newsworthy either.

Wind your neck in with that first sentence there. I know what he bloody did okay? Why would I be fishing? I again ask the question: how is Venables going on a dating site newsworthy?

Of course I don't like it, no rational human being would, but why do I, as a member of the public, NEED to know this?

If he finds someone, she'll find out. They always do. He wont be able to keep it a secret.

You don't need to know it. Some people may need to.

Can't see the problem being pissed off with it myself.

Maybe newsworthy to some people who feel the victims family have been , in their opinion, let down that he has been able to do this after his conviction for the distribution offences.

Even today it's hard to have a rational discussion without it getting heated, I'm not doubting anybodies good intentions but there is no point in a circular argument so I'm going to lock it for now and will reopen it if there are new developments
