Utter shite! Injuries have hurt us, but Utd have had bad injuries and are winning games. Awful Sunday. The onky good thing is that Utd and City can't get 3 points each on Thursday.

we were due a shitty game in our run in and there it was. utd play city amongst other games so top 4 is still real but cannot afford any more dropped points i reckon. definitely need to throw some coin about in the summer, our squad is so thin :(

Does Origi know that he is on a team and not playing by himself?

What is worse is that he is bumping Bobby to the wing. Why wasn't he subbed for when we have 80% possession and our centre forward is irrelevant?

I know that Lovren is guilty...but we did nothing with all that possession.

We can't complain about the bench when we didn't sign a single player in January.

Indeed.

We'll spend big in the summer, though...!

It doesn't mean they will all take it. The most worrying aspect is the injuries though, its costing us big time.

True. Henderson, Lallana and Mane are not easily replaced.

Based on what we have seen so far, we can say quite a few things about this season. Today is not the time for it though.

We're shite against bottom half teams who play a certain way. So games like this are always going to be the hardest for us. As today proved. These are the games we lose.

Not sure entering the final few games with massive pressure to get results is the time when we should expect this issue to be miraculously fixed.
Their way of playing had nothing to do with it, our players just played a very very very shit game. So much terrible decision making, simply unacceptable.

Shite, more stupid errors leading to goals, Lovren and Origi wtf???

On the bright side, that was our hardest remaining game and the rest of our games are pretty easy with everyone that we play being on holiday pretty much. The Mancs still have to play each other, and there's no way Utd are winning at both Spurs and Arsenal.

It all comes down to quality and mentality, we play so narrow and without pace in the attacking third or wide areas we will always struggle to break down packed defences, the substitutions were reactive and not proactive enough from Klopp today, we needed to change things sooner.

Still think we can get top 4 if we win our remaining games but the lack of leadership and basic competence in our defending means that we will not have anything to complain about if we don't make it

Bottled it. Plus we can't defend any sort of ball thrown into the box. Again. Entirely predictable.

Yep. We've had a whole week on training to deal with the Benteke as well, and have miserably failed.

Horrible game.

Don't blame all bad defending on Lovren, Can was the man supposed to be marking Benteke in the second goal, and his concentration once again slipped and Benteke slid away to have a free header. Can has moments of brilliance in offence and is good physically, but time and time again there are lapses of concentration and/or lack of interest in his game when defending, and they cost us dear.

The fact that the manager has this shower of shit currently in third place must give some hope for the future.

I understand some people are frustrated, but look at our squad, we should be finishing in sixth place with that team. Most of the players on that team are easily capable of giving up and feeling sorry for themselves for the rest of the season, while still picking up their massive wages each week. They've done it before.

Yes that is true we have performed way above what we should have done in truth. Are we really a top four team, when you compare our squad with United's? But somehow right till now we've stayed there. Not prepared to give up yet, United will still drop points, but a lot needs to happen this summer.

sign fucking defenders, fullbacks who can play on both ends, and centerhalves who aren't made out of plastic and can command and defend consistently.

Please just buy fucking defenders. even as abject as we were going forward, a solid back four brings you 3 points and a clean sheet after coutinho's goal. We can do it once in a while, but we can't do it consistently.

As soon as they had that corner, no, as soon as Lovren made that stupid fucking decision to go out and head the ball, I knew we would concede a shit fucking goal.

Just buy defenders for fucks sake already.

The age of the outfield players on the bench today; 18, 24, 21, 19, 17 and 17. I know we've got a few injuries but that is totally ridiculous.

I always get suckered in to false hope just for Liverpool to crush me. As soon as we went behind there was mo desire at all.

Coutinho the only player to show up today.

Both goals are just fucking lazy lazy wank goals to concede. The 2nd, 6 players just stood there & did nothing. It was a piss poor corner.

We didn't play well today but defensively we were dreadful. Palace were well organised but didn't create a great deal, yet we concede 2 goals. Subbed almost every defender - says it all.

Do you ever get the feeling when watching games like these that you just know what is going to happen? Even 1 nil up you just knew we were not at it. So sad that we just don't have the squad depth, the passion, experience or mentality to get top four let alone top spot at the moment. Always next season! again...

We'll go 6th now (end of season position), just behind Arsenal :(

However, congratulations must go to Christian Benteke.
He never really got the recognition he deserved whilst at Liverpool, yet he was always good for a goal (or two), which he was today.

Lovren and Clyne need to go. Both persistently dreadful.
They aren't good enough, without two heads off moments from lovren we win today. Also cast iron pen against coutinho, amazingly we don't get a decision.

All felt a bit strange in the end. Neither the players or the crowd got themselves up for what was a key match in our season. It's all good and well showing up for the big games but the likes of Palace and Bournemouth at home are your bread and butter points.

Until we improve on the pitch and in the stands we will continue to be the yoyo side we are.

Is there any defensive coaching going on ?

The side has the same frailties that Rodgers team had.

Even Fat Sam has Palace organised. We are a fucking mess.

Or is it just individuals ?

If it's individual then there are five individual errors that lead to their second goal and only three that led to their first.
We have the same problems going forward as we do at the back against sides like Palace. It's definitely a systematic problem.
