There are a couple of things firstly one of the big triggers for stress is not having control and the power to do things. Secondly I am actually an advocate of a Sporting Director model. The thing is it is hugely important role and for me Hughes hasn't shown anywhere near enough to be given the role.

Edwards basically made his name by getting big fees for players like Ibe, Smith and Solanke amongst others. The worrying thing is it was his mate Hughes who was buying them. Then you get to him appointing the likes of Scott Parker and Jason Tindall as managers. Hughes has spent a lot of money at Bournemouth relative to the size of the club but he hasn't really made money on many players.

So if a stress trigger is not having the power to do something, why would you agree to join a club and work under such circumstances?

I’m sure Hughes has made some questionable decisions over the years, you’d struggle to find anyone at the relegation candidates that hasn’t. Unless you’re a Brighton and have the backing of someone like Tony Bloom and the advantages that brings, the others will always struggle as it’s much harder to convince players to join clubs like Bournemouth than it is to join established clubs.

I would also say it’s a bit harsh to bring the likes of Ibe and Smith up, they were literally from his first transfer window in his first appointment in the job. Like anyone, you’ll make mistakes early on, is it really fair bringing them up 8 years later?

Dreadful haircut on that Forest physio.

Thought it was Bradley Wiggins at first

Fofana?

More of an 8.
And that would be a big mistake, we’re not winning the league without a good one at the very minimum.

There are not many good ones about. We made a big mistake just sitting on our hands in summer 2022 for Rice.

Except a bit of Ronnie and Trump in the first round, feels like the quality is a bit low in most of the rest I’ve watched so far?

Its so poor a list that. Can imagine we swerve a number 6 again this summer.

This is not aimed at just you but it does irritate me a little seeing this same thing posted often,  people say this stuff so often without having seen the mention players even kick a ball. How many of those have you seen play over 3 times?

I don't think it is actually, KH. There are quite a few who you'd expect would be a significant upgrade on Endo (no disrespect to him).

Geertruide gives us cover all along the backline. We could put him at LB in the champs league and against top-half teams in the PL, then play Owen Back against the grocks of the league and get him blooded in. Bring Andre in at DM. I still think there's a way we can pry Xavi Simons out of PSG - he really looks like the standout wing option to me, though it seems like he has been mainly featured through the middle.

Watching Andre he doesnt strike me as the sort of defensive midfielder we need. City and Arsenal have players who are 6ft, strong and good on the ball and Andre isnt as big.

Mad thing is... the game has VAR

Their general rule of thumb now is to let play commence and use VAR to dictate if the play was legal or not. How many blatant offsides do we see play out? Why did this suddenly change when it would have been the best course of action
