Reina, Lucas, Suarez. The other 8 eight can fight it out.
Oh you English are SO superior aren't you? Well, would you like to know where you'd be without US the good old U.S. of A. to protect you? I'll tell you. Did he? When was this?
I don't think it's directly attributable to anyone.
It was a rumour that was going around not long after Roy took over, at a time when there were (completely coincidentally) rumours the club were looking to sell him.
It came from an ITK on here, I think it was djphal. One of the reliable ones anyway. There was rumours about two players, think the other was Aquilani (IE them both being poor in training) and Aquilani was shipped out shortly after. I think it's fortunate for us that Poulsen was so dreadful, because if he'd had a decent start Lucas might have been sold too.
He is the cat who walks by himself, and all roads are alike to him.

Such a massive two years he's had. He was never a bad player contrary to belief in some quarters, but he's really developed in a genuine world class player. 24 years of age, can still improve further but my god what a player. I said after the game that was one of the best individual performances from a player that I've ever seen, and after watching it back again I can say that with even more confidence than I did earlier.

As the chalkboards prove, and as the thousands watching can also prove is that he won every single fucking tackle. Won near enough every header and worked hard from the first whistle to the last. He had a pass completion statisitc that Xabi would be proud of. He set up a couple of attacks and didn't let anything get past him. He linked very very will with Adam in a partnership that is getting better each week. I just don't know what more to say about him, I expect a big game each week from him now, he sets his standards that high and 9 times out of ten he will repay that faith.

He's such a grounded lad as well, got some stick and still gets some stick from the odd nobhead but he's just used that to fuel his desire to make it here. He's the first name on the teamsheet every single week for me along with Pepe and Suarez.

Future captain of this club? Well Pepe and Agger might have a few words to say about that but you could not argue for one second if this lad got it. Long may it continue Mr Leiva.

Incredible today. Individual performance of the season for me, which is strange considering we only drew, but he didn't put a foot wrong all game. Loved how dominant he was in the air against the likes of Yaya Toure! He always seems to perform in the big games....although I think he could improve against some of the lesser teams.

Thought he was bloody good against Chelsea as well.
In that case, I'd play Meireles, Lucas and Poulsen. Spearing would get absolutely marmalised by Yaya Toure. At least Poulsen can kick him.

No reason why he can't since the back 4 are now a lot more comfortable when being run at.

Immense the whole game. Should of did better against Dzeko at the end, but he lost his footing. Overall, a candinate for MOTM.

Can't praise the guy enough. Definitely a big game player, and you can see the effort he puts in.

So glad all the "he only passes sideways, doesn't impose himself on the game" comments are long gone.
