I have always felt that losing a second avenue for a trophy will hike up the pressure on Arsenal & Man City even more (although 115 do have FA Cup).

Ideal scenario IMO is Madrid knock City out and Arsenal go through, then Madrid do Arsenal in the semis. I think with a degree of certainty City win all their league games regardless of how far they go in Europe. It might actually hurt Arsenal if they go through.
