Doesn't look fast, but is.

It's the giant strides a la VVD - it's only until you seem them running next to a normal sized human that you go fuuuuucccccckkkkkk

Anyway, nice one Ibrahima, welcome to the party. Just mind the dress code eh, that jacket :lmao

I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

According to this, the game is on the Sky Sports red button:

Does anyone know if you get the red button on Now TV?

I’ve never seen him play so am unsure as to whether or not he’s any good, but I suspect the club wouldn’t have moved for him without having some confidence about both his ability and his susceptibility to injuries.

“I’m really pleased we’ve been able to add a player of Ibrahima’s quality to our squad and he is someone I’ve admired for a long time, ever since I first became aware of his potential when he was at Sochaux,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.

“In Ibrahima we are signing a player who will add to the quality we already have here. His physical attributes are very impressive; he is quick, he is very strong and he is dominant in the air.

“He comes to us after playing more than 90 times for Leipzig in the Bundesliga and European football. I’m sure that number would have been more but for some injury, but even so that means he already has experience of what it takes to compete in two outstandingly difficult competitions.

“He also played for a team in the Champions League in high-pressure matches, who have a similar football vision to ourselves.

“I am confident we are signing a player who can play for us right away, but he is a boy of 22 years of age who has room to improve because of his massive potential. I know that’s something he is eager to work on with us to become an even better player.

“For me, that’s really exciting because I have seen how good he is already and I’m looking forward to working with him when he joins up with us in pre-season.”

I'm watching here:
https://www.vipboxtv.se/stream-netherlands-u21-france-u21-live-1

Half time. Not much to comment on. Upemecano with a good header to score. He was probably the most noteworthy player with some good displays of pace and strength to snuff out attacks. Konate had one or two similar moments - but less eye-catching. A decent defensive header or two. Through ball got behind him once but Justin Kluivert hit it miles over the bar.

Nanitamo Ikone of Lille was the other player that caught my eye. Showed some pace and direct running, with a very nice shot from range that was tipped over.

Why do people think Konate wouldn’t have got a full pre-season if France won?

The tournament started today and ends this Sunday (6th June).

July 12th is when our pre-season starts.

I don’t mean this as an insult at all, but there’s a touch of the Mamadou Sakho bambi-on-ice-effectiveness in him.

Pretty sure Klopp said every player is getting at least 3 weeks off and you'd have to assume that would include him.

Didn't see that myself, he looked sure footed and well balanced. I know one U21 game is not a great yardstick but he is absolutely massive, strong and quick. Klopp and VVD will turn this guy into some defender.
