Playing like we are I don’t mind who we get, except maybe Basel. They were a bit of a bogey team from what I recall and I remember too well what happened last time we played in their ground!

3 years ago though, with a team that involved Skrtel, Johnson, Lucas, Enrique, Allen, Lambert. At their ground we played Manquillo, Skrtel, Enrique, Markovic, Balotelli, Sterling amongst others. We're a different side to what we were then. Over two legs, I don't think they'd come anywhere near us now in all honesty. May hold us to a draw but they're the most 'favourable' side for sure.

I've completely forgotten what it's like drawing these big names in the Champions League. It's been far too long. Go back 10 years ago when we were getting drawn with Juve, Real, Inter etc. and beating them.

We played against Dortmund,United and Villareal a year ago in knockout stages, surely that counts as some.experience.for this side??

Yes, you are absolutely right. This constitutes fine experience but all these games were in the Europa cup. The prestige and attention levels are not the same. Many teams have an ambivalent approach to ties in this competition. That cannot be said for the CL. What a wonderful privilege and honour it is to be in this competition, ,many a great club misses out on this honour year after year. We have personal experience of this privation ourselves having not been permitted in to the banquet that is the CL far too often over the last decade. I'm thoroughly enjoying every bit of this campaign.

Not arsed who we get.  If I had to choose I would for Real, Bayern or Juve.  With the away leg first it would suit us to be able to hit them on the counter attack.

I want Basel. Although they've an impressive record against English sides. We owe them a spanking. Plenty of time to draw the bigger fish later. I would least like Real, similar to us, they've pace to hurt teams. Mate is a huge Juve fan so as luck would have it it's inevitable we'll get them.

True, our team now has so much more quality, looking forward to it now. Can’t believe it’s been so long since we were involved in the knockout draw. Think it was when we beat Real 4-0 then went out to Chelsea. It’s good to be back

Same here, i think Sevilla os the weakest team in the 16 but Basel struggles to score goals, our attacking force will be just too much for them.
