Hi all, posted this in the current Israel/Gaza thread but was told to post here...

"For any mods… Would it be possible to have an asterisk on this thread a la the Ukraine one for people posting or referring to graphic stuff, etc.

Good if it could become a thread to understand what’s going on like the Ukraine one and not deteriorate and get locked."

I know you have your hands full with so much and this is a football forum, but it would be a shame if that thread descended as for many, just like the Ukraine thread, it can be a good source of information and discussion to what is going on.

No worries if not but thought I'd just flag it as it's already been a bit heated.

not sure if this is the place to report a small UI issue ....

about half the time when I'm posting, the cursor is invisible in the text box.
happens when posting new like this, or when quoting and replying.

been happening for about a week and not an issue on any other sites I use.
I'm using a HP laptop in Chrome.

there's not been any changes? and it's just a textarea unless you're using the wysiwyg which, I can't say I'd recommend.

I don't know how to "use wysiwyg".

it's not a huge issue but it is distracting and a tad frustrating.

If anyone who's getting the issue can see a console error it might give me a place to look.

I was either using Firefox or Edge at the time... pretty sure it was Edge. (I have to use Edge on my work laptop, but only use Firefox on my own PC).

comes and goes for me, in the same session.

I'm using chrome & had the same issues [i never use Edge it's shit], what i found that worked was, open a bookmark in new tab, [switch between tabs, but don't close the original tab your replying on], then go back to the tab your replying on, & the cursor then reappears.

It could be a browser/windows update and there's something not quite right, they update pretty rapidly now so it might well resolve itself.

Would it be possible to reclaim my old account please. I wasn't banned or anything I just forgot my password and when prompted to give my original email account/username I signed up with and the answer to the security Q I originally submitted it came up as not recognised, even though I know the answers I gave were 100% correct. Hence me making this new account.

Any details/answers you need to confirm my my previous account I will be more than happy to provide. I can even provide the AUTH. email I received from 2012 when I originally signed up.
