In your opinion. I think he can support Torres well - I liked the way he created the chance for our first goal on Sunday then cooly dispatched our second from the spot. At least Kuyt gets goals and assists. Babel is done here, get over it. And Pacheco should be eased into the team gradually.
if your willing to see kuyt playing ever game, providing the "safe option" of breaking down attacks, but running back to try win it back, and repeating this process, with no attacking threat, thats fine
but ohhhhhhhh why would you want babel, who never tracks back, or closes down or never provides an assist, or cant find a team mate with a pass, its a myth mate, there is a reason we have been shit, the last 18 months or so, and im not saying its all kuyt, but its because we have a lack of flair, we had players like alonso, to provide a bit of impetus, but now its all workman like, imo we need someone like babel to make teams a little bit afraid of us again...
Never said Kuyt should play very game. I'd rotate him more. We definitely have a lack of flair, a lack of pace, a lack of quality, but Babel isn't that player.
Babel's pace > Kuyt/Maxi
Babel's crossing > Kuyt/Maxi
Babel's shots > Kuyt/Maxi
Babel's flair > Kuyt's (Maxi arguably better.)
Not to mention that they both play so narrow.
A winger shouldn't have to help out his fullbacks so don't gimme this "Kuyt and Maxi helps out in defence."
Is that a joke?! Babel better at shooting than Dirk? Ha ha. I must have missed all those goals and imagined all the times he hits Row Z or the corner flag. Give me a Dirk or Maxi cross any day than one good one from Babel every three or four months.
