Did feel a bit emotional when he came on and after he scored. Think we’re gonna have a lot of that over the next few years as the first Klopp era move on one by one and the next generation take over.

Bona fide Liverpool legend.

Absolutely! Tears in the eyes stuff. Ridiculous really given it hardly made a difference to the result but was just such a perfect ending to a brilliant day. And you could see how much it meant to him. Same wit that Spurs header with the fans back. We love Bobby and he always seems so relaxed and cool but underneath it all you see how much it means to him too. Beautiful stuff.

My mate argued with me yesterday that he wasn't really a legend.

I disagree, I get what he said though in many ways, about comparing him to the legends of old... but at the same time:

Bobby has won it all with us
Score vital goals
Fantastic team player and overall you can see whole team love him
Fans love him
Flair player, enjoyable to watch
Selfless, was a focal point of our famous modern front 3

etc etc... I say he will be leaving as a proper Liverpool legend and so far my fan Klopp era player.

I wouldn't argue with idiots...

Not a fan of these announcements before the season ends.

Respect your right to feel this way, but Bobby going absolutely nuts after scoring, and the home support belting out his song loud enough to be heard in Calais supports the belief that in this particular case, the player, the club and the fans are all on the same kung fu fighting page...
Since haste quite Schorsch, but Liverpool are genuine fight pigs...

I can always use a good laugh, so would love to see what he had to say.

I remember in the UEFA Super Cup we looked like a mess against Chelsea, then he came on and everything seemed right in the world again. He contributed so much to the cohesion of our side and scored countless important goals for us.

He's just so lovely! What a legend.

Indeed. As long as he stays away from Saudi Arabia!

Will be interesting to see where he does end up. Will he opt for a big European league and prove he can still do it near the highest level, or wonder if he will head back to Brazil, or the US or somewhere else for some sunshine and an easier life.

Can only echo what countless others have said in tribute.

I’ve watched Shankly’s team of the early ‘60s onwards, and witnessed so many truly great players. I can honestly say, without exaggeration, that Bobby was the most selfless, the most enjoyable-to-watch of them all; in my eyes only Kenny and Digger come close in that regard. What will abide in my memory too, is the fact HE enjoyed it so much. A great sportsman who treated rival players with respect, I’m struggling to think of one occasion when he let his high standards drop. Will really miss him, but will treasure the memories.

Nice tribute Robin, yes what a true sportsman he is, I love his preference for the nutmeg to take revenege, with a smile  ;D

Wow, a reasonable sounding agent too, Bobby's niceness must have rubbed off on him!
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

He's past it, not sure what he offers anymore as its not as if he offers the second best minutes per goal or assist in the team. 😍 Apparently some who watch every game thinks he shouldn't be starting games. 😉

Nah, not for me.

He's as close as you will get while not being on Bobbys level, he was excellent today got a goal but his all round play, how he dropped deep, his dribbling, passing hold up play was all at a high level.
