Gorgeous shot from Xhaka. Not a sentence I ever thought I'd write.

Keeper very suspect for both of those goals.

Amazing what Leverkusen are about to do here.

Beautiful strike, but the amount of time Wirtz had to turn! Astonishing. (If only Palace had been so generous)

Unbelievable achievement. If they go unbeaten and win the Pokal and Europa, it'll go down as one of the p4p best seasons of any team ever? Surely?

You know, I'm sure those supporters, players, coaches, staff, etc have been thinking about this for a long time.  Some supporters and club staff maybe many decades.

But could they have dreamt up something like this?  Xabi taking over just a couple of seasons ago with the club struggling.

Even the ending, with Wirtz finishing his hat-trick and then getting lost among a sea of jubilant supporters on the pitch with the referee blowing for full-time as the stewards trying to chase them around.

It's the unpredictability and magic of football, eh?

His stock will never be higher you would think which makes his decision to stay there and odd one but fair play to him

You really need to sack this bizarre bitter agenda off before you go on your permanent "sabbatical" (*hint* Klopp's not coming back). Not sure why you're deliberately confusing Alonso with Arteta.

How about just congratulating Leverkusen on a truly remarkable and historic achievement. Absolute scenes at the end there.

Oh yeah its an amazing achievement. The club and town will party for days now and well deserved.

As for Alonso, its an amazing personal achievement. He clearly will be an amazing manager.

But the tax dodger is ending up at City or Madrid next.

Leverkusen were 17th when they appointed Xabi, they lost the second match Xabi was head coach 5-1 at Frankfurt, but recovered to eventually finished 6th, now won the Bundesliga in double quick time [& Leverkusen have won the league for the first time ever too] & have the chance to finish the season unbeaten in both league, DFB Pokal & Europe, for a team that used to be known as Loserkusen/Neverkusen ecc, it's a phenomenal achievement

Slightly envious of the fans out there on the pitch celebrating like that. We should have at least experienced that once with Klopp.

Acquitted unlike all the others, but facts never your strong point.

Why do you think he'd go to City? Plus Arteta has been promised the succession given he was Guardiola's apprentice and knows all their skeletons in their closet.

Dont know if he has been promised anything. Think if Arteta gets a league or CL in the next two seasons then City will have him. But Guardiola is staying one more season at least and I believe timing will matter in these things.

Why are you so adamant he wouldnt go there?
