I used to drink a lot and expensive , could order a full bottle of Absolut and a bucket of Môet at the same night, when I was 18-21. Did get that I was enjoying it a bit to much so I had a full stop for three years. Then Started to have a drink once and a while until I become a father, had a full stop for about 2 years again. Now I have a drink at business partys and maybe we share a bottle of wine at home at times, never more.

Was the above a over reaction or show of good character?

Sorry to say - I do in fact not have any friends, or at least, any close ones.
Most of them got away to other towns, Unis etc. when I got an employment at IBM aboard.
When my GF got pregnant we moved back home. Since then, well, most of the people I see outside work are coworkers for a pint and a game once every half year or so.

Did you have to grow up and become a parrent (if you are one) to realise your mum and dad are true heros?
