Tom Lockyer is being taken off on a stretcher by paramedics and club medical staff down the tunnel.

All supporters in the ground rise to their feet to applaud him off.

As it stands, play has been suspended.

Reports also that he was conscious, which can only be a good sign!

BBC commentator Chris Wise has just reported that they have been told Tom Lockyer is "alert and responsive" in the tunnel.

That is positive news from the Vitality Stadium.

I run marathons with mine but with a very low heart rate.    It’s not possible to play football with a low heart rate.  He will be on beta blockers and blood thinners I presume

Why is he playing then, surely if it was that bad the club would be saying no to him continuing. What kind of insurance have the club got on him I'm wondering.

He had an operation so medical professionals have obviously considered him okay to carry on playing. No point speculating at this stage.

City's next game after the CWC is a resurgent Everton away, assume the dogs of war will be on Christmas break but you've got to hope they turn up for a game.

Yes, I've just read that now, so they must have been hoping that would have helped him. Fingers crossed for another recovery for him.

We're still awaiting a decision at the Vitality Stadium on whether play will resume.

It would be incredibly tough on all the players - particularly Tom Lockyer's Luton team-mates.

The clock was stopped in the 65th minute and players have been in the changing rooms since then.

With the game 1-1, why not just call it and redo it at a later time? You don't even need to do a restart from the 65th minute; just do a fresh game.

Bournemouth game abandoned. What happens? Ends in a draw? or replayed fully, or just the the missed 30 minutes or so?

Should be up to the players/managers.

Players from both teams have come out to thank supporters at Vitality Stadium, who will have been equally shaken by the events.

The Luton Town players are being applauded by the home fans, who are all on their feet. It's a nice touch.

Managers Andoni Iraola and Rob Edwards also shake hands and pass on their support for each other.

For what it's worth, the fans applauded the decision. Common sense call really.

Glad he's seemingly OK, was watching at the time. They learned from Eriksen - once it was clear what had happened, cameras immediately cut away.

Just a reason why those involved may have considered restarting the game.
