Since we gave them a hiding, Arsenal just keep on winning.

They dont look great though. They wont be a threat to the top sides this season.

They won't be a threat to win the league but they're probably going to be involved in the scrum for 4th. They're really good at beating the shit teams. They won 50 points from a possible 60 against bottom half sides last season. That's what keeps them competitive.

Can certainly see why Lacazette was passed on for so long, still got a decent goal return already in fairness but mehhhh.

He's just about decent but nothing to write home about. Roll a couple of years back, he's the type of striker Aston Villa or Everton would buy when they were fighting for 6th.

What a breath of fresh air Brighton and Huddersfield have been. We needed a few more teams like Middlesbrough.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Chris Hughton is strange one. Has a bit of Mick McCarthy about him in the sense that he does extremely well in getting a team promoted to the Premier League, but then looks absolutely clueless once he's there.

Do you think Burnley players have a yardage per pass bonus in their contracts, a hoof bonus if you will?

The idea that ANYONE thought this Everton squad could compete for Top 4 baffles me. Hilarious stuff.

They dont look great though. They wont be a threat to the top sides this season.
But it keeps beating low teams and gaining points while we seemingly keep losing them against such teams. And Arsenal (in common with Liverpool, to be fair)  despite all the angst isn't too far behind the pace-setters.

Good start for Burnley but you can just see Everton equalising around the hour mark before probably winning it on 85 minutes, happened often before

Not premature because my opinion of him is based mostly  on his performances in France. He can be effective - at a certain level - surely, but he's not an exceptional player like Morata for example.

Little premature to say Morata is exceptional, he's not been posting exceptional numbers.  I like his determination and his style, has good feet and an aerial presence, but his contribution is little different to Giroud.  His top level is probably higher.  Lacazette looked better when Alexis wasn't in the side due to how he tends to put his foot on the ball and slow the play, reduce the space Lacazette has to run in behind and therefore less impact.  He's probably better against bigger teams, somewhere where Walcott's one footedness and Giroud's mobility caused problems.
