Poor first 15 mins. Seemed quite slow to the ball.
Also naive of Endo to let them take that free kick quickly (not sure it even was a a free kick!) but he should have carried on with the ball then its nowhere near where it needs to be taken from. Good save from Kelleher but unfortunately lands in McTominays lap.

Grew into the game nicely, offside goal was close, but shortly after lino gave Salah off straight away on an attack when McAllister was about to score and he really didn't look off at all, what happened to delaying the offside calls?

Great pressure from Gomez, pathetic from Fernandes, who I think could end up getting sent off if we wind him up.

But my god they really spend a lot of time trying to disallow our goals dont they!

Dixon is on meth, said the Fernandes free kick that went over everyone was a brilliant delivery.

Much like the City game it took us 30min to work things out and then took control. They're probably better suited to hitting us on the break than City were though.

We definitely played our way into that game as the half went on. Not surprising United have only played twelve games this year, while we have played eighteen. Let's hope we get our usual second half performance now.

This ITV commentary team is hilarious. According to Dixon, Uniteds midfield was dominating us at the start of the half. And the delight when our goal was ruled out  :lmao

Didn’t realise Dixon was a massive United fan.

Anyway these are absolutely shite, should get another few second half.

Fully expected VAR to find a reason to disallow the 2nd.  Pleasantly surprised it was good.

Poor start all round from us, but eventually woke up and last 15 of the half looked much better.

Scoreline hiding what has been a poor performance in which we were 2nd to every ball for a long time. Fortunately it’s only Man U we’re playing.

They threw everything at us and we took too long to react to that overload on our right, but as with most teams they burned out quickly and we took control.

Great to take a lead in at half-time as they'll probably now come flying out in the second half and tire themselves out in the first 10 minutes. As long as we don't do anything silly like get a player sent off we should have this in the bag.

They tried everything not to give that goal then. First a foul, then an offside then a check for a handball. Fuckers

Absolutely, looking dor any reason not to give it. Does any other team suffer as much scrutiny on their goals? The high press is there all day.

Lee Dixon on the ITV comms made a really good observation a few minutes before our first goal, they were blowing out of their arses at about 35 minutes in. You would think that they would have done their research and known that we enjoy picking off teams who have put too much in. Anyway, hahahahahahahahahahaha

Worst 40mins of the season, showed them far far too much respect and were beaten all over the pitch, front 3 looked like they met in the car park and Gomez.. A half to forget for him.

We finally start pressing them and bang we fly into life.

They really are fucking shit.

Think after 30 minutes, United went back into their shell. At that point, we had a possession with something like 50 passes. Once a Mourinho team, always a Mourinho team.

Guess what- they only made noise when they wanted Kelleher booked for supposedly handling out of the box. ;D

A class apart. We gifted them a goal when their attempt at a fast start was already petering out, and that gave them some encouragement. As soon as we started turning the screw, they disappeared from the pitch.

The faces in the stand as Endo's disallowed goal was being checked told the whole story. They knew that as soon as we scored the floodgates would open. Let's keep our heads and start picking them off on the counter, this could get embarrassing for them.

Need to be much better in the second half. That first 20 was very, very worrying. Great time to score. Their mentality is awful so hopefully they crumble now, but we need to be better at the start of the second.

Quote from Jill C in the commentary thread

They will really begin to throw themselves on the floor now.

And therrein lies the second goal.

To be fair, United started off well and didn't let us settle but then they probably needed a goal or two more before the legs went and ours strengthened.
