I might not have had Salah and Nunez in there, but I never really bought the whole idea of "just play the kids." Imagine you go a goal or two down in the first 20 mins....I mean, we'd probably still win but you get the point.

We discuss a whole load of things on here and disagree with the club loads despite always knowing less than them.

When it comes to injuries - we’ve been an outlier on injuries in multiple seasons recently. There’ll be reasons for that. Perhaps this is one of them.

That said. Plenty of players rested - Diaz, MacAllister, VVD, Elliot. Some of those starting perhaps need minutes. Would have preferred to see Nunez on the bench mind.

Because we play better when we're playing every few days. Better rhythm and a lot of these players need minutes.

By all accounts, our training is at a similar intensity to matches anyway. Klopp has always been a big proponent of rhythm so not too surprised.
