You got to admit, it was a good goal. One of those smash glass in emergency types, it’ll probably never happen again.

We’re playing well, still have Salah to come. Think the Rodri yellow will yield dividends in this weather.

We've done okay, but Gomez's lack of forward thinking and overlap is killing us down the left. No need not to start Robertson at all. Him and Salah on at half time.

Can't really fault the performance, they're going to dominate the ball in spells in every game but we've done alright.

Thought we've done very well to a point. They've been very good at times but thought we'd caused them caused them numerous scares when on another day could have resulted in a goal.

We have played as well as we can with this team and the players missing. Just poor decision-making in the opposition box. We really should have scored at least one goal there. Very nice performance otherwise though.

We’ve not been sharp enough and it was a poor goal to concede. Not sure if it was a block or not for their goal.

Nunez needs to stay onside as he gets caught off too many times. Elliott and Szoboszlai need to protect the full backs more. We need a prime Salah to come on.

Nunez seriously needs to learn to stay onside. Was such a hindrance in the first half.

Conor Bradley is boss, love his no fear attitude. Same for Quansah and Elliott.

It's overall been equal, we've been a bit better, but lacking in shots on goal. We need to do more, who in their right mind would say "we've been vastly outplayed"?

No good try to take the extra touch and walk it into the net against these. Case in point, Bradley has to hit that chance first time as it is sprayed to him.

I love Darwin Nunez but can anybody on this planet teach him about offside? Somehow worse than Djibril Cisse used to be.

Huge mountain to climb but given that we’re missing 11 players, not much else we can do. Other than the aforementioned not walking it in

We're playing OK and have created enough reasonable openings to have made Ederson work more than just a routine save from a long-range free-kick.

If Darwin can time his runs in behind there's something there for him. Also, Diaz needs to really run at Walker instead of checking all the time - he's got half a yard on him a few times but then let Walker off the hook.

A soft goal to concede but well worked from them. Macca presumably should have been goal side so that Ake couldn't push him up the pitch like he did.

We've played well in patches, some of our players look a little tired and Szoboszlai looks a yard short due to just coming back.

We've had some pretty good chances, but that was an awful, awful goal to concede.

Quite a few times we can get the shot off and either cutback or pull the ball back into a crowd. Get a shot away.

Going about as you'd expect from a team missing 5 of the starting 11 against the serial champions.

I have questions about why Salah didn't start. They no doubt took massive confidence from that. I've been counting down the minutes until he comes on since kick off.

We played better than I thought we would, given the injuries. Have a feeling that City are slightly off it today and we need to take our chances. They have been and will be few and far between.

Need to move Nunez to right back to get him onside...
