Deserved lead for them, we’ve been far too sloppy and looked laboured. Diaz was unlucky with a great effort, but that aside it’s been poor from us. Given them something to hang onto, hopefully Klopp gets into them and we see a better second half.

Looking a little rusty all right. I hate playing a promoted team away on game day 1, you know its going to be the best game they play all year. Mo's barely touched the ball so far he keeps coming inside to the striker position.

Just can't see the thinking behind Firmino and Henderson as our furthest forward two central players most of time - neither are sharp enough to get us cutting through sides anymore.

Would sub them both for Nunez and Elliott.

Absolutely no control in this game, feels so easy for Fulham and as if they have an extra man on the pitch.

Need a goal early on as longer it stays 1-0 the more compact they’ll get.

Really slow start from us. Need to up the tempo from pre season pace. Typical reffing performance, letting the smaller club get away with firm challenges, majority of 50/50s and leaving one in on players after the ball has been moved on. Fart and we give free kicks away. Infuriating.

Confident the lads can up their game second half and put one on them so alls not lost. Silva’s teams have never made it easy for us.

Poor all round. Too ponderous in attack, not enough control in midfield. Our attack needs to be more crisp, only Diaz has played well. Bring on Nunez for Firmino.

Midfield lacks control. Which is weird since we're playing our starting 3. Maybe they aren't match fit yet. That or we should've bought a midfielder like Bellingham. If it stays this way I'd like to see Elliot or Carvalho come on for Henderson, inject more creativity and control.

If we didn't expect Fulham to be in our faces from the first whistle then I'd be amazed. Hate being away first game. They look like they belong in the premiership if they continue to play like that, but you know they won't carry that pressing all season.
They look Very well set up and it will be a tough ask to turn this around

Very weak all round.

Salah and TAA need to waken up. Trent was far too weak for their goal. He basically didn’t challenge.
Referee needs to get the decisions right. Henderson was fouled on the lead up to their goal and if the ref had called that correctly then they wouldn’t have scored. An “accidental” foul is a foul. There was another foul on VVD that was not given just because “the guy slipped so it can’t be a foul”.

We are letting Fulham muscle us off the ball too often and the ref has let too many fouls go like the one on Diaz near the end of the half.

We need to up our tempo and tear them apart.

It was a foul, but only after he'd treated the ball like a hot potato for the umpteenth time. He's just not technically proficient enough to play that advanced role.

We need to isolate our wingers against their full backs more. It barely happened at all that half but when we did get some joy it was from the wide areas.

Has anyone been listening to the manager? He has said all along we are not ready so it doesn't surprise me in a way. Hopefully Nunez will come on earlier than intended I'm pretty sure with some direct running he can at least get in between the Fulham players, we need some more physicality on the field.

Trent can’t have himself in that position for the goal. Big man coming in over the top. Needed to attack the ball. But anyways. Halftime bollocking and away we go.
