I really do apologise about the aftertiming but fuck me. Higuain AGS and got on Real 3-2 Atletico when it was 1-0 Atletico - I saw them going 2-0 up and crumbling. Boss day.

I've not done this myself, but it appears that new SkyBet customers can get a free £5 bet (no initial stake required) if they register with Oddschecker.com.

Newcastle v Nottingham Forest tomorrow.

Newcastle are at 1.72. At home. Against a side that has lost their last 6/7 away. Should be a foregone conclusion.
I'm a little wary because they are still a good side, but as long as we beat them, a Newcastle win and Forest defeat at the weekend would promote us. Enough motivation for us there I reckon.

Carroll is on fire at the moment, and I reckon he'll score again. But I have a feeling about Nolan, hasn't scored in a while but has been coming closer and closer, goal disallowed (correctly) for offside against Doncaster too.

Forest really are dire away from home so i reckon thats a decent price..Id even go -1,but i wouldnt go large..Only 4 away wins all season, albeit 2 of them were against fellow promotion hopefuls swansea and West Brom. But what is it now 6/7 defeats on the trot,8 goals conceded in there last 3 away games..Is Lovenkrands back no?

Quote from: nufc.com
The Magpies welcome back Mike Williamson, Jose Enrique and Peter Lovenkrands to the starting XI. Alan Smith and Shola Ameobi are now available again but not expected to feature, while Joey Barton is expected to be among the substitutes with Tamas Kadar, Leon Best, Fabrice Pancrate, Ryan Taylor and Tim Krul +1 more.

Fitz Hall is out after pulling a hamstring against Bristol City, while Steven Taylor remains our only long-term absentee - his return from a knee injury now delayed due to a broken jaw sustained in a training ground bust-up.

EDIT: If I'm not around, www.nufc.com is pretty good for team news and some stats. -1 I'm unsure on, and I wouldn't do until after the game starts. If they don't start well and we do I'd be all over it.

Last goalscorer maybe, but I don't see it happening. Struggled against a 10-man Barnsley side after coming on when we were 6-0 up.

Just hasn't looked a threat. I know quite a few Newcastle fans who would disagree with this next comment, but I don't think his overall play has been too bad. Just doesn't look like he's selfish enough to score.

Well id say that about him going by what i saw of him..Took a big itnerest in him when he played with ireland as he was immense when he came on against italy..He does seem a bit too selfless alright..

Any thoughts on Bilbao?

Bilbao are brilliant at home..Should have 7 straight home wins only for an 86th min getafe equaliser by getafe last time out..However Santander are not in that bad form themself and pose a mean defence.Last 4 games have seen 3 nil all draws and a 3-1 away win over Osasuna.Reckon theyl struggle against the size and arial prescence of Bilbao though.Llorente should bag a goal if not two.Bilbao to win to nil @ 21/10 and Llorente FGS @ 5/1 is a very high price..

Newcastle, Lay Santander, City

Treble.

Bilbao are excellent at home but think Santander may possibly sneak a point. Canales and Colsa could do the damage for Santander.

About 10/12 days ago, I deposited £50 in my account, and just put surefire bets on, mostly shite odds, below 1.50 for singles, but it adds up. Got to £100 and withdrew the original £50. Playing with winning from this stage on. Since then, I have lost two bets, but they've been "worth a punt" ones when it's not much of my account, e.g £30 on Olympiacos after 70 minutes yesterday. Since the first withdrawal I have withdrawn a further £400 (a few quid here and there) and had £397 in my account last night. Every penny of which went on an NBA bet Scribble posted in that thread, which came in comfortably. Woke up to £760 in my account this morning.

So tonight, I thought, I've made quite a bit from this, and I'm going for it. If I lose I lose, If I win, I withdraw so I have £50 left in the account.

£500 on Newcastle/Bilbao
£135 on Newcastle
£125 on Bilbao

If I lose, I'm still £450 better off than I was when I started, and if I win, I'm about £2,500 up.

EDIT: Of which at least £1500 will go on shares in Lloyds. fantastic long-term investment.

Haha nice ;D But why did you throw it all at one bet? £760 is some money eh?

A mixture of your confidence and my stupidity I guess. But I'm trying to think of it as I've got nothing to lose, I'm already £450 up, and if one of the two sides tonight wins, add £200 more to that. If both do, its £2000.

On Man City, NEwcastle and Over 2.0 goals in Athletic Bilbao.@ Acc. Odds: 4.08

Over 2.0 in Bilbao looks good. Usually a few goals in Bilbao home games. They only won 2-0 a few weeks ago but others have mostly been overs.

Also on Llorente FGS.

Going with a single on Newcastle and Draw/Bilbao half time/full time. Racing have got more often than not a mean defence which is hard to break down. No reason why they won't be able to hold on to a 0-0 until half time but think Bilbao will be too strong for them in the end. Great value at 5.6 as well.
If Racing hold them till half time will probably follow up in play on Bilbao depending on odds. Wanted to go with under 2.5 goals but its only 1.8.

Over 2.5 goals in Manchester City-Wigan is my only football bet of the day.

The history tells you it shouldn't be many goals at all. But this is two totally different teams and the history doesn't mean a fuck. Wigan won't be able to cover that large pitch. And even if that slow and uncreative Vieira is playing they should score a couple of goals.
