Id hate to see us leave an English league and join a euro super league. An English league with the annexation of City and Chelsea is the way to stop the cheats
I'd like that. All leagues should bin off the financial steroid freaks. They could make their own corrupt league and endlessly play themselves and buy their own meaningless trophies.

The rest of us doing it legitimately could then get on with competing rather than trying to overcome cheating. It's an absolute travesty that these people have been allowed to hijack the game the way they have been. It's a travesty every time the likes of Abu Dhabi and Chelsea lift a trophy ahead of a club competing legally. It's also absolutely damning on the reputation of the game and those at the top letting it happen.

Not including the load they shifted onto the parent company, or the dodgy payments they make from elsewhere.

I'm glad Liverpool are good enough to challenge for the title without cheating.

I doubt many City fans are arsed how their owners have behaved behind the scenes or if anyone respects their achievements, won't like being called cheats though. Cheats.

I think they are very arsed.  It's why they are so touchy and defensive about anything vaguely negative said about them. They are a very sensitive fan-base, who have a stock answer ready for all the valid criticisms that come their way. They absolutely hate it, as winning knowing that they get very little respect for it really bothers them.

They are absolutely paranoid about how they are viewed within the media too, thinking they are all against them, which is hilarious to me, given the easy ride the club and manager gets consisdering their owners, and considering how much distrust there is in how they run the club.

I've never really seen any of their fan-base questioning the owners cheating, plenty kick off being accused of it, sometimes ends in Heysal being brought up. Maybe some are a little worried something meaningful will be done about it, but confident the threat of legal action and a corrupt organization being bought off stops anything becoming official that they are Cheats.

They're arsed all right.  You can see how desperate they are for validation.  They want their success to be legitimised; they want to be loved and respected and feared.  They are the Donald Trump of football - still banging on about how nobody predicted they could win and how they had the biggest crowd size ever.  They're begging for a rivalry with somebody, anybody.

It's no fun striding to title after title when you have no history and no deep roots to justify your success.  you need somebody who can at least challenge battle - but never quite good enough to win it, just so you feel you might have earned the win a little bit.  But when there's a competitor you just can't shake off, who keeps coming back, it's not fun anymore.   Reminds you far too much of where you came from - and where you could easily end up again.

Is right.

They are extremely arsed about how they are perceived. Extremely arsed about how this success was paid for.

Google Sheikh Mansour's brother Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Just don't bother watching the video, it's horrible. They know this, and they know that all this is not normal, is without any historical precedent, and they know that their success is steeped in blood and means nothing to anyone else.

throw PSG in there, said it before but if uefa let City off with another fine there will be a big swing towards a super league, not just from the boardrooms but the terraces as well as many matchgoing fans of the elite clubs (us/united/arsenal/barca/real/Bayern/juve/milan/inter etc) will be fucked off with uefa for putting restrictions on them whilst blatantly allowing the pisstakers to continue if they pay a small fine before passing go

Is right.

They are extremely arsed about how they are perceived. Extremely arsed about how this success was paid for.

Because they know that it's paid for with literal torture and indentured labour. They know that Sheikh Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is on film all over the internet torturing someone. It's LITERALLY a family of torturers. They know this, and they know that all this is not normal, is without any historical precedent, and they know that their success is steeped in blood and means nothing to anyone else.
its also why many other English fans would prefer city to win the league/CL over us as they all know deep down city’s wins are pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things, to be fair it was the same with us when city pipped united to the league

Although to be fair there were a good few, me included, who wanted Dubai in who are hardly angels, although that’s in a significant part down to who we were owned by then

£4m less in wages than Liverpool

https://twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/1115170967788109824
And £50m more revenue. Of course they do.  :butt

It makes perfect sense that a nothing club that can't sell out their ground somehow earns more than a club known throughout the world.

You've got the raging paranoia and conspiracy theories down to a T.

You're just missing the 7,500 salt of the earth, working class fans, who pay for their ticket up front and then decide not to go to the game, every game.

But seriously are there any man city fans out there that can convince us that they're not a poorly run club, owned by scumbags, who would struggle if they had to work within the rules of the game?

I'm going to preface this by saying that I think virtually all clubs would love to be able to cook the books and that I dare say most of the major clubs have at one time or another floated ideas that may not have broken any rules but gone against the spirit of the game.

Abu Dhabi, Paris St.Qatar and others (I'm thinking a lot of the Chinese investors may get more leeway from the Chinese government but accept I might be wrong) get away with what they do because they face absolutely no repercussions for their actions. If we tried what they have (allegedly..ahem) done then it's not just LFC that it seriously effects. It then goes through FSG and into other businesses owned by them. If Spurs tried it, it effects Enic and ultimately Joe Lewis's other business. Same with the Glazers, especially since United are listed on the NYSE and subject to their rules. What are Abu Dhabi going to do, punish themselves and tell themselves they've been bad?

The only true punishment they can face is sporting ones and that's ultimately stripping them of titles and trophies won. I suppose that opens them up to legal proceedings from other clubs since in theory they might not have legitimately qualified for the Champions League and all that money gained could have went to say Arsenal who missed out.

Even then they’ve needed offside goals and soft penalties awarded as well as blatant red card offences ignored.

There’s so much talk about it refs are scared of being the one to deny them “an historic quadruple.”  Even Mike Dean would shy away from the media frenzy that would follow.

They simply HAVE to go knock Spurs out in the 2nd leg. With the money they spent and the quality and quantity of players they bought, there is absolutely no way anyone can excuse them for being knocked out two years in a row by a team that's 20 points behind them in the league in the quarter-final.

Those ties have been a gift to Guardiola.  He's been able to give match time to fringe players and stat pad/confidence boost players like Jesus (6 goals in 25 appearances in the league, 4 in one game against Burton) and Foden.

I think we'd have benefitted from having more minutes under the belts of Mignolet, Lovren, Moreno, Clyne, Shaqiri, Lallana, Keita, Origi and Sturridge but we've not really had the luxury of many games where we could veer too far from the best XI.

Will the slave owners sack Guardiola after they realise he's throwing the Champions League games against Spurs to concentrate on the premier league? Is Guardiola still looking at houses in Turin?

We're just asking questions guys.

They simply HAVE to go knock Spurs out in the 2nd leg. With the money they spent and the quality and quantity of players they bought, there is absolutely no way anyone can excuse them for being knocked out two years in a row by a team that's 20 points behind them in the league in the quarter-final.

I expect they’ll win the second leg (and league game) comfortably. Spurs peaked tonight and can’t rotate like the cheats can.

Worst case scenario that, Spurs blew their load in the first leg, no way they are getting anything from the next two games now.
