Hopefully this Mac Allister can bag in a European final like his predecessor Gary.
Great signing overall. Great value, and he will transform the midfield. His main game is creating and being on the ball, but his recovery and off the ball work should not go unnoticed. He routinely has games with 5 or more ball recoveries. Great job by the scouting department and the board getting the player done and ready for the start of pre season.
Things im excited to see with this lad.
Squad Integration: Being Argentinian he will gel well with the rest of the south american contingency (Diaz, Nunez, Fabinho, Thiago, Pitulaga).
Midfield Control and Creation - Last year most of our chances were made from Trent or our forwards. Having a player thats capable of being on the ball and creating chances will transform the team. Theres less pressure on the forwards to drop back and create, and in turn it will benefit our ball possession. We saw it a little bit this year, and i think Klopp will go full on possession based football next season, as opposed to pressing for 90 minutes and making the opponent create a mistake. I think last year even though our pressing was inconsistent and sluggish, teams were able to spot the press and play two quick passes before a long ball breaks our defense. Klopp will see the schedule of games and know that he needs to change tactics. (Cant score without the ball)
We hit the nail on the head with this signing. Great start to a very important window.
