two brothers who I can´t remember names scored for us. Both from Luton area one only 16.
Was a good game and the score honestly was not a true reflection. Seems everything they touched went in and we hit the bar off the line bla bla bla.
Great technical players the Atleticos. Play mostly 5 a side and it showed in their ball play.
The night in the bar was great. Manager was an atletico and liverpool supporter. The Atletico lads were really good bunch of lads.
Our singing was brilliant but never thought I´d get sick of the nando bounce,
Also special mention to the supporters in the stand who gave a great rendition of you´ll never walk alone when we went 6-2 down. brought tears to my eyes it did
Also well done Nige. Great organisationto get that done for us.
And btw tele crew there not sure who-Madrid based- and were in the pub recording the singing so maybe one of the Spanish lads will get a link up for that and youtube it etc.
Really wasnt too much between the sides and as harrytrow says everything they touched seem to go in. The final scoreline of 6.2 did flatter them.
Both our goals were long range strikes. The 2 brothers who scored our goals were my sons, Daniel and Adam Brown. Adam, scored the first from a free kick in the first half and Daniel added to the scoreline in the second half.
The referee gave 4 of us a lift back to the Red Corner bar and also gave us an Atletico scarf, top bloke. It really was a quality night. Both sets of players and supporters were superb. Well done to everyone.
Plenty in the Irish bars in Sol at the moment, rain virtually stopped now.
