Grey can go and fuck himself. Richard Keys is a disgrace and needs a butt on the chin!!!

Glad when Jamie had a crack at Berbatov.

Anyone else get the feeling had we have drawn that match the knives would've been out for Rafa and how he didn't use Torres. Rhetorical question...

Sky gave him MOM

Man of the match: Yossi Benayoun . Constant threat - through the middle and out wide - before making way for Steven Gerrard.

Moment of the match: Ryan Babel's late winner to give Rafa Benitez his first Premier League win over Mr. Ferguson.

Attempt of the match: Ryan Giggs' fizzing, dipping left-foot volley that had Jose Reina at full stretch.

Save of the match: Edwin van der Sar's point-blank save from Dirk Kuyt after making a mess of a corner.

Talking point: That was as good as it got for the United keeper. His pitiful flap at Alonso's deflected shot gave Wes Brown nowhere to go and got Liverpool back in the game. Why didn't Van der Sar just catch it?

Goal of the game: United's top-class opener. Anderson's ball to free Dimitar Berbatov on the right was touched by genius, and the debutant showed his strength to hold off Carragher before cutting the ball back for Carlos Tevez, who bent the ball into the far corner with real style.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought that was Yossis' best performance..
Are Sky the oracle?  Fucking nonsense.  If you think he was as much a threat as Albert Riera, or as much an influence on the game as Alonso or Mascherano then you are clearly off your head.
Carragher elated after vital win
Carragher underlined the importance of Liverpool's victory
Liverpool's Jamie Carragher believes the 2-1 win against Manchester United at Anfield can give them hope to mount a title challenge this season.
He said: "It gives us belief and confidence because we've beaten the best team in Europe.
"It gives us the belief that we can beat anyone in the league.
"We hope we can now push on for the rest of the season. It should spur us on, because we've not been playing too well. That is the best we've played."
The defender added: "It also gives us a bit of breathing space between us and United, and top is where a club like Liverpool should be."
Manager Rafael Benitez said after his first league win against United since being appointed Liverpool manager in 2004: "It was good for the confidence of the players.
"At half-time we were talking about having confidence and determination going forwards - and in the second half we were the best team.
"We showed quality and character to come back, and the understanding of Robbie Keane and Dirk Kuyt was very good. Their pressing was really important for the rest of the team."
It feels so good to beat them in the league again. A really, really good performance from most of our players. Special mentions to Riera (great debut), Masch (is there a better defensive midfielder in Europe?), and Aurelio (quality, quality performance).
Imagine how my boys are feeling,it's the first time they've seen us beat scum in the league
The decision to bring on Gerrad when he did was a statement of intent. Rafa has to continue making bold decisions all through the season. A cautionary approch will lead to too many points being dropped.
I'm sorry but no way was Benayoun MOM. He was not even in our best 3 today. Kuyt, Masch, Carra, Riera, Babel all showed more today, but i reiterate that this does not mean Yossi was bad, just not our best.
Who the fuck needs Gerrard and Torres?
I said before the game that we'd lose if we played like we had been doing, but the game today was like watching a whole new set of players. We played like we should have been doing all season, rather than having a performance which was a pile of arse.
We fucked them everywhere today. Keane, Benayoun and Kuyt were constantly harassing their defence, and it was completely rattling them. Aside from the first five minutes, and the few minutes immediately after our equaliser, they couldn't string two passes together. Every time we lost possession we either won it back straight away or they gifted it back to us. The midfield were challenging for everything, which is how it should be. We got stuck in there, chased the ball down, and we benefited from it.
The midfield was excellent, especially Mascherano. He completely and utterly bossed the game, fighting for every single ball that came close to him. Even made a few storming runs forward after the ball as well. Totally made up for losing his head at Old Trafford last season.
I thought Riera looks quality too, from the display he gave today. First ball that came his way he could've reached it if he'd actually run, but instead he didn't bother chasing it and let the pass go out of play, which I wasn't too eager to see, but after that he picked up his game, and he was completely having off Wes Brown down the left.
Atmosphere inside the ground was good, especially once we equalised, and the protests stayed outside of the 90 minutes, which is how it should be.
No he didn't.  You're only saying that because we won.
He started off shite, but ended up playing well. Even Kuyt- few very sloppy passes and doing his usual thing of strangling our 1 touch passing as a team, but along with Riera, those 2 were my best players on the pitch. Alonso did well, but was sloppy at times, Masch did well but had a couple of moments- one which nearly cost us a goal and one which did.
I'd go as far as saying Yossi, Kuyt and Riera made the difference with some great support from Masch and Alonso. Those players caused so many problems for the Manc defenders when pushing forward that they were left with shitty kecks by the end of it. Vidic on Alonso (should have been a straight red) was the graphic portrayal of how we had them fucking c*nts shitting themselves. Torres and Gerrard weren't on the pitch as a partnership, and Gerrard was only on for 15-20 minutes.
Hope Mascherano's ok as well. Was it just a knock or something more?
Funny, but I felt calm all day, even when they went afront. Just knew we was going to win.
Honestly I felt the same.  We bossed the game, forced them to play long balls rather then trying to pass through their midfield.  Brilliant, Rafa deserves some of the plaudits for how he set us up.
I think Riera takes MOM for me. Debut against Man United and made it look like he was playing against Derby County players when he had the ball. Made a complete fool of their players when he went up against them. I thought he deserved a few of those free kicks in the 1st half too but the ref had his mind made up before the game started not to give him anything. Only thing he really did wrong was that poor cross nearer the end.
What pissed me off was Gray saying whether Rafa has the balls to bring Gerrard on, and when he did, he kept going on about why Gerrard was rested by Rafa if he could play.
I really don't think he has anything against us. More like against Rafa IMO.
