To steer clear of the ending for a bit, the photography on the show is uniformly excellent, in that it's designed with shots of the characters off-centre, to keep the viewer off-kilter.
The scene between Terry Colby and Philip Price in particular was crazily framed. Price was shot on the bottom left corner of the screen, and then the camera moves him upwards in frame and focuses more on him as he's talking about the Congo and how the Great Powers have always behaved, and how he's one of the most important men in the world. And as he talks, it moves in closer and you can see more clearly the map above him:
a (very odd) map of Europe in 1914 as the Great War is about to start...And then it cuts to a mad, spider-in-the-corner view of Price's office as Colby leaves.
The show has really expanded the characters beyond Elliot /Mr. Robot this year, which benefits the show in the long run (at the expense of some of the episodes this season though). The story of Darlene's kidnapping was stunning and wonderfully acted.
I also understand nothing about Tyrell and the mystery phone calls by the way.
