I watched the first series of it quite a while ago, it’s ok but I think it suffers next to the production values of Narcos

I enjoyed this immensely. Acting and dialogue was brilliant as always. There’s so much communication between the lines. Very well made show.

I'm struggling with the new season. I think the richness of the characters seems to have been sacrificed for a handful of leads through whose eyes we see the world but to me at least, that doesn't feel rich or engrossing as the older Narcos did. Walt Breslin, Andrea, and Victor could just as well be the same person as well.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

This season has to shatter all televisual records for characters staring intensely off into the distance.

That policeman's eyes were nearly popping out by the end of it with all the staring.

Just finished season 3. A mess of a season in comparison to the previous 5. Huge shame as it's still enjoyable but that wasn't Narcos as it's best, which was leagues ahead of most other dramas as it's finest.

Didn't enjoy this. Was background noise whilst I did other things part from last couple of episodes.

I thought it was excellent, the cinematography during some of the violent set pieces was outstanding. The storylines were pretty tight, there weren't any threads that lost my interest (aside from the cliched Chicago thing, but that was kept to a minimum). I liked how the writers toyed with expectations at time, like with Alex's pizza.

Glad I'm not the only one. Narcos used to leave you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails or, in my case, clapping at the superb script. This season sent me to sleep!

I would have to agree with most that the quality dropped this season versus the previous ones but I really wish they would continue on because the acting and production value is so good and not everyone will have watched Chapo and know what happened after 94/95. I hope they can get one or two more seasons in. Narcos still remains in my top 3 Netflix originals and I might go rewatch the Colombian ones again just because it has been a while.

I, for one, enjoyed the Victor storyline though it could have been sped up a bit more.

Rather surprised by the lukewarm reaction to series 3?...thought it was superb....devoured it over the last three nights and think it followed the same dramatic arc as the previous 2 Mexico series in starting somewhat slowly before ramping up the tension mid-season and building to edge of the seat stuff for the final few eps...masterful TV ...gutted to read that the show's all over now, but what a ride it's been.....drug / cartel dramas abound these days, but Narcos remains the daddy....

after three...1, 2, 3..

Agreed. I enjoyed every minute of it. Will even go as far as stating that I enjoyed Mexico more than Colombia.

Only finished it recently and loved it. Surprised it's so polarizing. Won't miss Breslins nasal mumbling though ;D

I don’t season 3 was bad, it just wasn’t as good as the others I’d say but also it’s ultimately inspired by true events so Amado death is a bit of a damp squib because that’s what happened in real life so couldn’t sex it up, likewise Chapo was still in prison etc that’s the material they had to work with

To me, Mexico S1 was the best, followed by S1 and S2 of Colombia
